Residenza Piazza Erbe Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Residenza Piazza Erbe? I was expecting just another decent three-star place, but honestly, this little gem surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here – not in an over-the-top luxury way, but in that comfortable, lived-in style that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-traveled friend’s place rather than some corporate chain.

The location is what really makes this place shine, and I mean that literally – my room had these gorgeous windows that let in the most amazing morning light. You’re right in the heart of things without being stuck in tourist trap central, which is honestly harder to find than you’d think these days. I spent most evenings just wandering the narrow streets around the hotel, discovering these little trattorias and wine bars that clearly cater more to locals than visitors. The neighborhood has this authentic buzz to it, especially in the early evening when people are heading home from work and stopping for aperitivos. There’s something really satisfying about being able to duck back to your room between dinner and evening drinks – no long walks or taxi rides needed.

What impressed me most was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their stuff about the area. The guy at reception (I think his name was Marco?) didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map – he actually marked up places based on what I mentioned I was interested in. That 8.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does offer feels solid and well-thought-out. The rooms are clean and comfortable without being fancy, the building has character without feeling run-down, and you get that perfect balance of being centrally located but still being able to get a decent night’s sleep. I mean, sure, you’ll hear some street noise if you’re a really light sleeper, but that’s just part of staying in the center of Verona – and honestly, I found it kind of charming after a day or two. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, especially for the price point and that neighborhood vibe that’s getting harder to find these days.

Reviews of Residenza Piazza Erbe

  • Agata from Italy – 3 April 2025 (8/10)

    La posizione

What could be improved: Tv e microonde vecchi

  • Aleksandra from Serbia – 22 December 2024 (9/10)

It is in the city center, so close to everything. The owner thought of everything – towels, toiletries, coffee, tea. It was also super clean.

What could be improved: It is a bit cold, but I think that this is a normal heating temperature in Italy.

  • Martine from United Kingdom – 31 October 2024 (8/10)

Location amazing!! Right in city centre!!
Amazing Value for money , asked to stay till 12 and no problem at all!!

What could be improved: A little tired, shower needs replacing and no curtain at bedroom window only voile so light comes in, but small issues , we still had a lovely stay .

  • Anna from United Kingdom – 25 October 2024 (8/10)

    Great location, beautiful place.

What could be improved: Walls like paper, you can hear everything.

  • Drilon from Kosovo – 5 October 2024 (7/10)

We really liked the property's location, it was in the center, just meters from Julietts house and also in walking distance to everything else.
The space of the apartment was very good, the bed was pretty comfortable and the cleanliness was good also.

What could be improved: We didn't like that the apartment was in 3rd floor and there wasn't an elevator.

  • David from Czech Republic – 2 October 2024 (9/10)

The apartment is nice, clean, and well-equipped. Its location is ideal for visiting the sights that Verona offers. The check-in instructions were clear and communication with the owners was without any problems. We enjoyed our stay!

What could be improved: Only few minor things. The biggest problem is the kitchen, which has very little space for preparing meals. It was a challenge to prepare even a breakfast there. The shower is quite small, which makes it a bit uncomfortable. The sound insulation also isn't ideal (you can hear neighbour's TV and people in the pub outside). But all these things are manageable, especially if you stay for just for a few days.

  • Egīls from Latvia – 5 September 2024 (8/10)

    Location

What could be improved: Bathroom- very small shower cabin

  • Divyamary from Germany – 26 July 2024 (7/10)

Loved the location, beautiful city of Verona, clean place with many teas, olive oil, utilities, books to read, spacious living room.

What could be improved: No Elevator. No Instant Water Boiler/Kettle. No parking.

  • Isobel from United Kingdom – 15 July 2024 (9/10)

The location was excellent for the old city of Verona, it was clean and comfortable. It was very hot, the air conditioning and fan were very useful.

  • Cybele from United States – 11 July 2024 (7/10)

Location is great. Spacious and comfortable.

What could be improved: Parking is not so simple. Available but not convenient.
No elevator and have to go up 5 flights. More of an inconvenience rather than a problem.
