Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Verona, but Residenza Vecchia Veronetta honestly caught me off guard in the best possible way. When I first walked up to this 4-star gem, I wasn’t expecting much – the Veronetta district isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, which is actually part of its charm. This neighborhood sits just across the Adige River from the main historic center, and you know what? That turned out to be perfect. You get all the authentic local vibes without the constant buzz of tour groups outside your window.

The moment I stepped inside, I could tell this wasn’t your typical cookie-cutter hotel. There’s this immediate sense that someone actually cared about creating something special here – and with a 9.5 rating, I clearly wasn’t the only one who felt that way. The interiors have this lovely blend of old Veronese character with modern touches that don’t feel forced or overdone. I mean, you’re in a city where every building has stories, and this place seems to honor that history while still giving you all the comfort you want after a long day of exploring. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings and original architectural details, but the beds are seriously comfortable and the bathrooms are properly updated (trust me, that matters when you’re dealing with some of the older places in Verona).

What really sold me on this place was the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way that every hotel claims. Being in Veronetta means you’re literally a five-minute walk to some of the most beautiful, less crowded parts of the historic center, but you’re also surrounded by actual neighborhood life. There are these amazing little osterie nearby where you’ll sit next to locals rather than fellow tourists, and honestly, that’s when you know you’ve found something good. The walk into the main tourist areas is pleasant – you cross one of those lovely bridges over the Adige and suddenly you’re at Juliet’s balcony or the Arena, but you can retreat back to this quieter pocket when you’ve had enough of the crowds. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Italian city centers will appreciate. The staff clearly knows the area well and gave me some fantastic recommendations that I never would have found in a guidebook – little family-run places and scenic routes that made my stay feel much more authentic than it would have otherwise.

  La struttura è super accessoriata di tutto quello che occorre per preparare in autonomia colazione, pranzo o cena. Comodissimo il kit cortesia per la pulizia delle stoviglie, non mancano prodotti per l'igiene della casa e quella personale. L'appartamento era pulito, confortevole e in un residence silenzioso. Molto vicino al centro per cui a piedi si possono raggiungere siti interessanti come l' arena, il giardino giusti, la casa di Giulietta e Romeo, il belvedere di Castel San Pietro ecc ed anche tutti i servizi (bar, ristoranti ecc). Lo staff è stato gentilissimo ad anticipare il check in, visto che siamo arrivati molto presto a Verona. Consigliatissimo!

  Die Lage ist grossartig. Die Wohnung liegt äusserst zentrumsnah, zugleich abseits des Touristenauflaufs, sodass man sich nach Wunsch zurückziehen kann, um etwa in der ungewöhnlich gut bestückten Wohnungsbibliothek oder in der benachbarten Keramikwerkstatt zu stöbern.
