Residenze Mquadro Overview
You know what struck me first about Residenze Mquadro? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you – and honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. I mean, you’re not getting marble lobbies or doormen in white gloves here, but what you do get is this refreshingly authentic Italian hospitality that feels genuine rather than rehearsed.
The whole setup is more like staying in a really well-run apartment building than a traditional hotel, which I actually loved. The staff – there’s this one guy at reception who seems to know every single guest by name within about five minutes – they’re the kind of people who’ll actually draw you a little map on a napkin rather than just pointing vaguely down the street. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable in that no-nonsense Italian way, and here’s something I appreciated: the Wi-Fi actually works consistently, which honestly can’t be said for every three-star place I’ve stayed at. The bathrooms are compact but functional, and the beds are surprisingly good – I’m usually a light sleeper but slept solidly every night.
What really sets this place apart though is how it sits in its neighborhood. You’re not stuck in some touristy bubble where every restaurant has English menus and inflated prices. Instead, you’re right where locals actually live and work, which means you stumble across those tiny family-run trattorias that don’t even have signs out front. There’s this incredible bakery just around the corner – I never did catch the name – where the morning cornetti are still warm at 7 AM, and the barista makes coffee so strong it could wake the dead. The area gets properly quiet at night too, which is a blessing if you’ve spent your day dealing with crowds and street noise elsewhere. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (narrow streets, you know how it is), but the reception folks seem to have worked out some kind of arrangement with a nearby garage. The whole experience just feels… well, it feels like Italy without the tourist markup. That 8.5 rating makes complete sense to me – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to be.

Reviews of Residenze Mquadro

The location is ok if you look for reasonable prices. There is a bus station right under the house a supermarket across the street and its only a 4 km walk or run to the old city. We stayed there to be close to gardaland at a reasonable price.
The apartment is neat and comfortable, self check-in is a great help. The kitchen is well equipped.
What could be improved: The aircondition didn't do its job. However we were at less warm days.Hüseyin from Germany – 21 May 2024 (9/10)

Host was super kind with my parents. They told me she was available and kind. The flat was lovely and super clean. The area was quiet and only 15 min bus from the centre.

The host is very responsive and helpful, WiFi is fast, and the place is very clean and well-equipped. Both the bed and sofa bed are super comfy and the area is really green and quiet, with supermarkets and eateries all around. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.
What could be improved: I would recommend the host add some soup or pasta bowls in the kitchen.Maria from Greece – 1 October 2022 (9/10)
What could be improved: I would prefer the bed linen to be 100% cotton, and the pillows to be in a better condition

Hosts were very friendly and really-really helpful.
Bus stop to the centre of Verona is just at the house so travel to the main tourist attractions is easy.Valery from Czech Republic – 29 August 2022 (9/10)
The apartment is very cozy, has a bedroom and a living room combined with a kitchen. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a short stay. Apartment is very clean and comfortable. Beds are good, couch can be unfolded and also used as a bed. We asked the host to leave extra sheets for it and we found them ready in the apartment. In front of the apartment there is a small but cute patio with a table, chairs and large umbrella, as shown in the photos. It was very pleasant to have there breakfast in the morning or a drink in the evening.
The location is slightly outside of the center, but easily reachable by bus both from the train station and from the center. The bust stop is just in front of the building. It is also possible to walk, about 30-40 min walk from the train station. There is a small supermarket just across from the bus stop, 1 min walk from the apartment, behind the church (keep in mind it's closed on Sundays).
Communication with the host is excellent, we communicated mainly via Whatsup, he was very responsive to all our questions and requests.Hasitha from Belgium – 2 June 2022 (8/10)
The property was as it is in the pictures. Nice rooms and very clean. The bathroom and kitchen are also very nice.
What could be improved: Rooms are quite hot during the summer. Better to introduce some air conditioning.
