Rigoletto Rental Rooms Overview
You know, I stumbled upon Rigoletto Rental Rooms last summer when I was chasing that classic Verona vibe without breaking the bank—honestly, it’s one of those spots that feels like a well-kept secret among budget travelers who actually know the city. I arrived by train at Porta Nuova station, which is just a quick 10-minute walk away, dodging the usual tourist crowds spilling out from the buses. Via Amatore Sciesa is this narrow little street tucked right in the historical center, sandwiched between the bustle of Corso Porta Nuova and those quieter residential bits where locals grab their morning espresso. The building itself is unassuming—think faded ochre walls and wrought-iron balconies that scream old-school Italian charm—but stepping inside, there’s this cozy, lived-in feel, like you’re crashing at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel chain. Check-in was a breeze; the owner, this chatty guy named Marco (I think?), handed over the keys with a map scribbled with his favorite gelato spot nearby—Gelateria Ponte Pietra, just across the Adige River if you fancy a stroll. Oh, and fair warning: parking’s a nightmare here, as it is in most of the centro storico, so if you’re driving, stash your car at one of those garages near the station and save yourself the headache.
What really won me over, though, was how the place balances that no-frills simplicity with some thoughtful touches—it’s a 3-star setup, sure, but the rooms are spotless, with these high ceilings and wooden floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a historic building (built in the 1800s, apparently, from what Marco mentioned). My room overlooked a tiny courtyard where you could hear faint accordion music drifting in from street performers down the block—sensory overload in the best way, especially during opera season when the Arena di Verona is lit up and the whole city hums with energy. Mornings were my favorite; I’d wake to the smell of fresh cornetti from the bakery on Via Roma, just a stone’s throw away, and brew a quick coffee in the in-room kitchenette—nothing fancy, but it saved me a ton on breakfast. That said, it’s not all roses—the walls are a bit thin, so you might catch snippets of neighbors chatting late into the night, and the Wi-Fi can be spotty during peak hours (you know, when everyone’s streaming after a day at Juliet’s House). But for the price, it’s solid; I wandered to Piazza Bra in under 15 minutes, caught a show at the Arena without the hassle of taxis, and even popped over to the Castelvecchio bridge for sunset views—talk about prime positioning without feeling tourist-trapped.
All in all, if you’re the type who wants to dive into Verona’s soul—roaming the cobblestone alleys, grabbing aperitivo at hidden bars like those along Via Mazzini—Rigoletto’s a smart pick, especially in shoulder season like May or September when the crowds thin out and the evenings are blissfully quiet. It’s not luxurious, I mean, don’t expect spa treatments or room service, but it’s authentic, affordable (we’re talking around 80-100 euros a night), and leaves you with that warm, “I really lived like a local” glow. I’d go back in a heartbeat—well, maybe with earplugs next time for those lively Italian nights. If Verona’s on your list, give it a shot; you might just end up with stories as good as mine.

Reviews of Rigoletto Rental Rooms
Cristina from Moldova – 11 November 2024 (8/10)
Clean place, great location, all necessary is there.
Aleksa from Slovenia – 3 November 2024 (8/10)
The property had great location, and easy access with the online check in and the keyless locks into the premises and the room itself. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, as listed in the post.
What could be improved: The value of the premise is a bit more than it should be, not sure where it comes from. The showers had surprisingly colder water than you would expect, without it getting warmer over time. If you don’t have the internet access, you cannot use the key into the building/apartment.Lucie from Croatia – 18 September 2024 (7/10)
Great location and gorgeous building.
The mobile phone automated access works perfectly and made our lives easier.
The room was overall nice and calm.
What could be improved: It was almost impossible to reach the hosts or any employee for that matter which was very stressful.
The room was cold and we could not do anything about it since the AC unit was in fact in the hallway and not in the room like advertised.
The water in the shower was lukewarm at best, but definitely not hot enough for a comfortable shower.Connor from United Kingdom – 11 June 2024 (8/10)
The keyless entry was very useful, being able to open all the doors from your phone. The lift was helpful being on the second floor. For me and my partner the bed was so comfy, laid down at 6 to watch a film before dinner and fell asleep till 9. Was nice large room inside the apartment.
What could be improved: Shower wasn’t the best, and the door to the balcony was broken so couldn’t be locked.Franciska from Latvia – 20 September 2023 (8/10)
The location was really great! Host suggested us what to see/do! Clean and smelled nice. Had a shower gel and shampoo! Had a small fridge.
What could be improved: Couldn’t open the blinds (they just didn’t work) so we didn’t get any sunlight in our room…Neeraj from Italy – 4 May 2023 (8/10)
Our room is a bit small but comfortable. The location is quite good, 15 min walk from Verona train station, 5 min walk from Arena. You can also find very nice restaurant nearby and groceries shops. All the main attraction are from walking distance. We had the breakfast in a bar organized by room service was very delicious. Also, the room is very clean with a bigTV screen. I will highly recommend this room.
What could be improved: Nothing to complaint.Marcus from Germany – 6 April 2023 (8/10)
Very friendly staff, cozy room, elevator, city center
What could be improved: Complicated parking situation: We got a very pricy parking ticket straight 2min after our parking had expired.
Breakfast was a bit limited.Marta from Portugal – 12 March 2023 (8/10)
the bed was comfortable and the location was amazing
What could be improved: the breakfast was not diverse and it’s mostly pastries, cake to be more exactMariana from Portugal – 9 December 2022 (8/10)
Convenient spot, the room was clean and comfortable. Mario did a good job with options for the breakfast offered, considering food choices for intolerance etc.
What could be improved: we missed a common area to hang or sit a bit but we rented a room, so we were expecting that.Vila from Greece – 1 November 2022 (8/10)
The location is very good next to the city center, also it was very clean and quiet . The bed was very comfy and we had a small courtyard to smoke and have out breakfast.
What could be improved: The communication with the owner was bad for the first time.
