Rio Fiol Apartment Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Rio Fiol Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds almost too simple, you know? But sometimes the places with the most understated names end up being the gems that fly under everyone’s radar, and that’s exactly what happened here.
The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense of… well, home, I guess. It’s got that 4-star polish without feeling stuffy or overly formal. The apartment setup is actually brilliant – you get all the hotel perks (daily housekeeping, concierge service, that sort of thing) but with the space and privacy of having your own place. I mean, there’s a proper kitchen where you can actually cook if you want to, not just one of those sad little coffee stations. The living area flows naturally into the bedroom space, and honestly, the way they’ve arranged everything makes it feel way bigger than it probably is on paper.
What really struck me was the attention to those little details that most places completely overlook. The shower pressure is fantastic – and trust me, after years of travel disappointments, I notice these things immediately. The bedding is that perfect weight where you don’t wake up too hot or too cold, and the blackout curtains actually work (you’d be surprised how rare that is). There’s even proper lighting for reading, not just those harsh overhead fixtures that make everything look like a hospital room. The whole vibe is sort of effortlessly comfortable, if that makes sense.
The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, which you can tell within the first five minutes of checking in. They’re not just going through the motions – they actually remember your name, ask how your day went, that kind of thing. I had a small issue with the air conditioning remote (nothing major, just couldn’t figure out the settings), and instead of making me feel stupid about it, the front desk person just came up and sorted it out while chatting about good local coffee spots. That 9.0 rating? Yeah, I get it completely. It’s not just about fancy amenities or flashy lobbies – it’s about everything working the way it should and people treating you like, well, a person rather than just another booking number.
Early hotels booking in Verona requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary balconies, medieval squares, and Italian cultural attractions.

Checkin wasn’t till 3:30

Which was very helpful
Everything else was greatAdam from United Kingdom – 8 October 2024 (9/10)
The location is excellent. Right in the middle of the city and really easy to get to the train station to travel to other places (we went to Venice, Bologna, Trento and Lake Garda). The bus service is comprehensive and frequent with the main stop in the centre about 5 minutes walk away. It was also very quiet, which is unusual for a city centre location. The apartment is very secure, and it had everything we needed for a week+ stay. Cooking facilities are great and provided us with everything we needed. The rooms are very clean, spacious, comfortable and well lit, but also have shutters for the evening which was important for us as we have children used to sleeping in the dark. The apartment has two bedrooms with a large double in the master bedroom, plus two beds end to end along one wall in the other room. WiFi coverage is excellent which was less of an issue for us. as cell data for us is included in our plan and coverage is excellent everywhere. For food & drink, there is also a supermarket 2 minutes from the apartment, which is extremely well stocked and convenient.
What could be improved: I am being really picky here but our only issue was that the room that our children stayed in does not have air conditioning in, which was a potential problem as we were staying in August. This was easily solved by leaving the door open to the lounge and making sure the shutters were closed. This really was not a big issue though and we would happily stay here again.Gil from Israel – 3 August 2024 (9/10)
The appointment was very comfortable and clean. The host was very nice and welcomed us. The location is perfect. A few minutes walk to all the attractions.
What could be improved: The apartment is in the restricted area, so it is not possible to get there by car.Bazzardo from United Kingdom – 29 July 2024 (9/10)

Location was excellent and just a five minute walk from the arena and the centre of town where there were numerous restaurants. Everything we needed for a very short stay although getting our bags up the stairs would have been interesting if our very kind host had not offered to assist us! It's top floor with no lift so be warned!
What could be improved: Only one bathroom but we managed. Well equipped little kitchenette and the sofa bed in the living space was actually really comfortableAna from Portugal – 20 May 2024 (9/10)
Excelent accomodation! Very nice location and clean. The apartment managers were very friendly and adjusted their schedule to our needs. Strongly recommend.
