But after spending a few nights there, I actually get it. This 4-star place has this understated elegance that sneaks up on you, and that 9.6 rating isn’t just inflated review bombing – it’s genuinely earned.

What struck me first was how quiet it gets at night, which is honestly a miracle if you know anything about Italian hotels. You’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or that constant hum of traffic that usually keeps you up. The rooms have this warm, lived-in feel without being stuffy – sort of like staying at a well-traveled aunt’s place, if your aunt had impeccable taste and a serious budget for linens. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious too, with actual water pressure (you know what I’m talking about if you’ve ever showered in Europe). I spent way too much time in that rainfall shower, but honestly, after walking around Verona all day, it felt like a small luxury I deserved.

The staff here actually remembers your name, which might sound like a small thing, but it makes such a difference when you’re dealing with that inevitable travel exhaustion. They’re the kind of people who’ll slip you insider tips about which gelato place the locals actually go to (hint: it’s not the one with the longest tourist line), or mention that the morning market is worth getting up early for on Saturdays. The breakfast setup is thoughtful without being overwhelming – fresh pastries that taste like they came from someone’s nonna’s kitchen, proper coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours, and they actually stock decent local honey. I found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because the morning light hits their dining area just right, and partly because I wasn’t in a rush to escape like I am at most hotel breakfast situations. It’s the kind of place where you end up chatting with other guests naturally, sharing restaurant recommendations or commiserating about how much your feet hurt from all the cobblestone walking. There’s something about the atmosphere that just makes people friendlier, you know?

  Nice and comfortable room in a great location. Close to everything waking. Nice restaurants around. Huge TV with Netflix and lots of details as great speakers for the tv and lots of lights. We had a few problems with the jacuzzi and speakers and the owner was there to fix it.
