Hotel Description

I remember stumbling upon Rosa Luxury Apartment almost by accident last summer – I was wandering through Verona’s historical center after a long train ride from Milan, and honestly, my feet were killing me. Tucked away on Via Rosa, this place is right in the thick of it, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Piazza delle Erbe where you can grab a morning espresso and watch the market vendors set up their stalls with all those fresh cheeses and prosciutto that smell like heaven. It’s not one of those massive hotels; it’s more like a chic apartment setup, which felt perfect for someone like me who hates feeling like a tourist in a lobby full of elevators dinging constantly. Check-in was a breeze – the host met me at the door with a key and a quick rundown in broken English (mixed with Italian, which I appreciated, you know?), and there I was, stepping into this light-filled space with high ceilings and those classic wooden beams that make you feel like you’re in an old Veronese palazzo. Oh, and parking? Well, it’s tricky in the center – I mean, Verona’s streets are narrow as anything, so I ended up leaving my rental at a lot near the Adige River and walking the five minutes over. But once you’re in, the quiet hits you; it’s surprisingly peaceful for being so central, especially in the evenings when the day-trippers clear out.

What really won me over was how lived-in it all felt – not sterile like some luxury spots, but with thoughtful touches that make you want to linger. The apartment I stayed in had this massive king bed with linens that were crisp yet soft, like they’d been line-dried in the Italian sun, and a kitchenette stocked with basics (I whipped up a simple pasta with tomatoes from the market – nothing beats that). The bathroom? Marble everything, rain shower that actually has decent pressure, which is a godsend after trekking around the Arena di Verona (it’s literally a 10-minute stroll away, past those ancient walls that glow pink at sunset). You can hear faint church bells in the morning from nearby Santa Anastasia, which sort of sets this romantic vibe – Verona being the city of Romeo and Juliet and all – but fair warning, if you’re a light sleeper, the occasional scooter buzzing down Via Rosa might jolt you awake around dawn during peak season in July. Still, it’s got that 4-star polish without being stuffy; the Wi-Fi was solid for streaming, and there’s even a little balcony where I sipped wine overlooking the rooftops. I mean, it’s rated 8.4 for a reason – not perfect, like the air conditioning could be a tad stronger in the heatwave we had, but it beats those chain hotels hands down.

Look, if you’re heading to Verona for the opera festival or just to soak up the history without the hassle of constant hotel shuttles, Rosa’s the spot. It’s ideal for couples or solo travelers who want space to breathe – I spent a whole afternoon reading on the couch, feeling like a local rather than a visitor. Sure, it’s not the cheapest, but you get that authentic slice of the city, steps from Juliet’s House where tourists flock (pro tip: go early to avoid the crowds). I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially in shoulder season like September when the streets quiet down and the air smells of roasting chestnuts. Trust me, it’s one of those places that sticks with you.

  • Superb – Figen from Australia – 14 June 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful room with high ceilings in a charming courtyard

What could be improved: Light in bathroom not working

  • Prefect central accommodation – Debra from United Kingdom – 24 May 2025 (9/10)

  • Very good – Angelique from Canada – 28 March 2025 (8/10)

The apartment is gorgeous… I could live there. Super decor, layout, building and location.
The hosts were very responsive, kind and friendly.
The little icks we encountered (that the hosts tried very hard to sort out); strange smell from the boiler, some lights did not work (was fixed during our stay)

  • A perfect blend of history and Italian elegance. – Jovana from Montenegro – 3 February 2025 (9/10)

Our stay at Rosa Apartments in the heart of Verona was truly unforgettable. Located in a stunning 16th-century palazzo, the apartment combined historic charm with superb interior design, featuring high-end Italian designer furniture. A perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and timeless beauty.

  • Great location. Fair price. – Davide from United Kingdom – 17 September 2024 (8/10)

Great central location. Very quiet. Large apartment (would recommend it for 2 people, not so sure for 4). Cool interior design. Appropriate value for money. This apartment has pros and cons, and I think the cost is a fair reflection of both.

What could be improved: The apartment is naturally dark because it's on the ground floor inside a courtyard. The interaction with the manager beforehand wasn't the most timely or flexible.
I would really not recommend it for 4 people as the bathroom is next to the master bedroom and, if someone else goes to the bathroom, the noise and the light will wake up the people in the master bedroom.

  • Authentic place to stay in the heart of the city. – Zeynep from Turkey – 19 October 2023 (9/10)

The location is more than perfect. I don't think even the mayor of Verona has a place of its own that is better located 🙂

What could be improved: The host is very particular with the check-in and check-out rules. To be clear: I don't mean that the host forced us some new rules that weren't already written in the description. The rules were clear, but I expected more flexibility with at least leaving the luggage after the check-out.

  • Superb – Elia from Israel – 17 September 2023 (9/10)

What could be improved: Rude worker giving instructions

  • Very good – Antonia from Germany – 1 July 2023 (8/10)

Great location right in the city centre. Amazing apartment with high ceilings, modern, stylish & tasteful furniture and kitchen equipment. Spacious and bright rooms, modern bathroom.

  • We had a brilliant time and the apartment really enhanced the visit to Verana. – Renu from United Kingdom – 3 July 2025 (10/10)

Very comfortable and spacious, all amenities in a great location. It was few minutes walking distance to The Arena, in the historical centre of the city, in a beautiful building and really quiet.

  • Exceptional – Natalia from Israel – 9 June 2025 (10/10)

I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the warm hospitality. It was as if we had visited a Verona fairy tale with an old courtyard and a amazing apartment design. The location of the apartment It self is in the very center of the old city, everything is within walking distance and the apartment itself is clean and well maintained. Thank you so much for everything 🙂
