RUBELE40 Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about RUBELE40? It’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you step inside, everything just clicks. I mean, we’re talking about a solid 3-star property here, but honestly, it punches way above its weight class – and that 8.7 rating isn’t just some fluke.
The first thing you notice is how the staff actually remembers your name after day one, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re dragging yourself back after a long day of sightseeing. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully simple – not trying to be fancy, but everything works exactly like it should. The beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and the shower pressure is decent, which matters more than you think when you’ve been walking around all day. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with unnecessary amenities, but the essentials are all there and done well. The Wi-Fi reaches every corner of the building, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and the blackout curtains actually block out light – little things that show they understand what travelers really need.
What really sold me on this place, though, is the attention to detail that you only notice after staying a few nights. The housekeeping team has this routine down to a science, but they’re not intrusive about it. Check-in was smooth – no standing around for twenty minutes while they figure out their system – and they were genuinely helpful with local recommendations without that rehearsed tourism board spiel you get at some places. The location itself is pretty smart too; you’re not right in the thick of the tourist chaos, but you’re close enough that you can walk to the main areas without it being a whole production. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven around busy city centers will appreciate. I stayed during what turned out to be a pretty busy season, and while the lobby got lively in the evenings, it never felt overwhelming or affected the quiet upstairs. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, and if you’re looking for a rooftop pool or marble bathrooms, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a place where you can actually relax, where the staff treats you like a person instead of a room number, and where you wake up feeling like you got your money’s worth – RUBELE40 delivers on that promise every single time.
Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

Very clean
What could be improved: Sofa in leaving room was broken and in meantime not comfortable for sleeping. And cigarettes smoke from outside penetrates to the room. Guests are smoking in the yard which is not ventilated will.Simiao from Germany – 11 November 2024 (9/10)
Perfect location. Adige river and ponte delle navi are just in front of the gate! 1 minute to bus stop San Fermo: 10min to Arena and old castel, 15min to train station by bus. Walking for 1-20 min you can get to all the attractions in the old town.
To be honest, you cannot find an accommodation more convenient than this: it really has a perfect balance between the distance to the train station and the old town.
Spacious and comfortable room with adequate heating. There are two air conditioners! The area of the apartment is twice as large as that of a normal hotel room.
There are fridge, boiling kettle and microvave oven, which really helped.
Friendly host. We arrived a little bit later than expected, but checked in smoothly after very efficient communication with the host.
What could be improved: The water for shower is heated by an electric water heater. It was not a problem for us in late October, but if you want to travel in December or January and if both of you want to enjoy a long shower, you might have to take this condition into account.Bedri from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (9/10)
Very clean great location

Great location on the edge of historic dsitrict! I wouldn't want to be any closer–this palce was quiet
What could be improved: booking.com was a bit of a negative, I felt my arrival time was miscommunicated. I wrote 4:00 as instructed: put something as early as you think you'll arrive. Booking.com told them 3-4 pm so I had someone waiting there for an hour and we arrived at 4:15. not a great start, not that the host was irritable or anything.Holm from Norway – 22 July 2024 (9/10)
Th location was amazing, only 2-3 minutes away from Giuliettas house in the middle of the city, but it was surprisingly quiet and chill even tho it’s right next to a cafe/bar. Jenny who checked us in was also very friendly and helpful!
Araceli from Switzerland – 8 May 2024 (9/10)
Near everything in town, you can walk to visit everything.
What could be improved: We were 4 people and we have only 2 coffee capsules.Larysa from United Kingdom – 6 May 2024 (9/10)
