You know what caught me off guard about Santa Chiara Suites? I walked in expecting just another decent place to crash, but there’s something genuinely thoughtful about how they’ve put this place together. The suites – and I mean actual suites, not those hotel rooms where they shove a mini-fridge in the corner and call it a kitchenette – feel like someone actually lives there. The kind of space where you can spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your suitcase.

I’ve stayed in a lot of places with solid ratings (this one sits at 8.1, which honestly feels about right), and what usually separates the good from the forgettable is those little details that show someone’s paying attention. Here, it’s things like having enough outlets near the bed – revolutionary concept, I know – and blackout curtains that actually block light instead of just filtering it into a gentle morning glow when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag. The kitchenette setup is pretty practical too, with real plates and glasses instead of that flimsy stuff that makes you feel like you’re camping indoors. I mean, if you’re going to offer a kitchen space, might as well make it usable, right?

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even when the place seems pretty full. The walls must be decent because I never got that lovely experience of listening to someone’s Netflix binge session at 2 AM. Check-in was straightforward – no unnecessary upselling or twenty-minute explanations of amenities I can figure out myself. Sometimes the simplest things make the biggest difference, and honestly, just being able to settle in without drama goes a long way when you’re tired from traveling. The staff seems to get that balance between being helpful and not hovering, which isn’t as common as you’d think. It’s the kind of place where you could easily extend your stay a few days without feeling like you’re roughing it, but also won’t break the bank if you’re watching your budget. Not flashy, just solid and comfortable – which, let’s be real, is exactly what you want when you’re somewhere new and just need a reliable home base.

• Excellent stay and altogether very clean and met our expectations except for some small details. – Jannon from Spain – 2 July 2025 (8/10)

  The location, cleanliness, security were all prefect. The apartment is not far at all from the center or from bus stops that take you into the city/main train station so it’s easy to get around (City center, Garda lake, Venice). The host was very flexible and easy to contact. The apartment is roomy enough for 3 people and having the washing machine is also a plus.
  The neighborhood is generally calm and safe.
  
  What could be improved: There could’ve been more amenities such as salt/pepper, kitchen towels… mostly in the kitchen.
  The bar downstairs can be somewhat noisy in the afternoon (for us it was only a couple of days in our week long stay) and the street as well. The windows are not very soundproof so you can hear the cars in the morning.

  -L’appartamento è pulito e ben posizionato vicino al centro.
  -Va bene per un breve soggiorno di una o due persone.
  -L’attrezzatura della cucina è molto essenziale.
  
  What could be improved: -Nel sito viene indicato che l'appartamento è per 3 persone adulte, ma in realtà è stretto in 3 meglio in 2.
  -Mancavano tazze o tazzine per thè o caffè.
  -La posizione è centrale ma comporta anche del rumore notturno, a causa dei bar/pub sotto casa aperti fino a tardi.
  -È una sistemazione più adatta a dei ragazzi giovani, per dormire e uscire, piuttosto che per rilassarsi.
  -Cestini della spazzatura pieni all'arrivo, abbiamo buttato noi la spazzatura dei precedenti inquilini.

  Super nice apartment in the historical centre of Verona. Very silent and cosy, with a beautiful view on the rooftops of Verona. It’s comfy, clean and well connected to main services of the area. Plus, there is a very secure parking 2 mins away from the apartment. We defenitely recommend it.

  Lovely new decor, as per the photos. Very comfortable bed. Excellent shower-room.
  We really liked the local area. We enjoyed the cafés, bars and a traditional restaurant and shop just around the corner. Good bus routes including to railway station. Just a few mins walk into the historical centre of Verona. Good security within building.
  
  What could be improved: Problem accessing the apartment which was stressful- had not been provided with code. Had to message booking.com for this. Thankfully did receive this within a few minutes. (Hopefully will be resolved for future guests)
  There is a pub downstairs which was not open for most nights we were there. The last 2 nights of our stay the noise of people in the street (smokers) was very loud, and was until 2am.
  There were no cups for tea / coffee in the apartment so could not use the coffee maker.

  La struttura è in una zona centralissima, ad un passo da Ponte Pietra e dal Teatro Romano. L'appartamento è nuovo, curato nei dettagli e davvero accogliente. Torneremo sicuramente!
