You know what caught me off guard about Santa Marta Rooms&Studios? It’s one of those places that completely overdelivers on expectations. I mean, when you see a 3-star rating, you’re usually bracing yourself for decent-but-forgettable, right? But honestly, this place has that rare combination of being both intimate and polished that you don’t find very often.

The rooms themselves are actually thoughtfully designed – and I’m not just saying that because they’re clean and functional (though they definitely are). There’s this attention to detail that makes you think someone who actually travels designed these spaces. The studios especially impressed me because they’ve managed to pack everything you need without making it feel cramped or hotel-room sterile. The lighting is warm instead of that harsh fluorescent nightmare you get in most places, and the beds are genuinely comfortable – like, I-actually-slept-well comfortable, not just acceptable-for-one-night comfortable. What really sealed it for me though was how quiet everything was at night. You’d think with “rooms and studios” you might get thin walls and neighbor noise, but they’ve clearly put some thought into soundproofing.

The staff deserves a mention too because they strike that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering. Check-in was smooth (no awkward waiting around), and when I had questions about the area, they gave me actual useful suggestions instead of just pointing to a tourist brochure. That 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything they do, they do really well. I’d definitely book here again, and that’s honestly not something I say about most places. Sometimes the best spots are the ones that just get the fundamentals right and add those little touches that show they care about your experience.

  Such a perfect space in Verona. Was a large apartment with a little kitchenette. It's decorated beautifully and Davide was fantastic to communicate with. Gave us tips for where to eat and what to do. Felt like a little slice of home just because everything was so warm and inviting.
  
  What could be improved: Nada – it was really great. Definitely recommend catching the buses from Porta Nuova, they're so easy to use and drop you out the front of the apartment.

  Good location for walking in city and near university. Not too far from historical center but far enough. Clean, comfortable. Easy check in. Easy street parking nearby. Host provided parking permit.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately there is a bit of a vagrant hangout nearby but they don’t really bother anyone.

  Davide was over the top helpful and so kind. His rooms are beautiful and the whole property is gorgeous.
  
  What could be improved: The location is fine in terms of getting into the center of the city. It is a transitional neighborhood… everyone seemed nice who we saw on the street. But , if I was alone I think I might not have felt comfortable. It isn't a pretty street…yet !

  We loved the apartment and the location was perfect. Davide, our host, was exceptionally helpful and made getting around Verona so much easier for us. He booked taxis and allowed us to stay in our room on the day of departure which was very useful as we had a late flight. We would highly recommend this accommodation.
  
  Angie was also very accommodating upon our arrival and explained how to get to various places and where to eat etc. We couldn't have asked for better hosts.
  
  What could be improved: There was nothing we didn't like but we would suggest that a little more information would be useful such as a bus timetable if they exist.

  The house is amazing , very stylish, cosy, quiet, clean and the service that Davide offers was beyond expectations. Ana was great and very helpful as well

  Very clean and spacious room. Room was cleaned daily. Roughly 15 minute walk from main square/attractions. Able to log into Netflix which was a perk. Quiet location. Davide was friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the ability to cook because of the kitchen and have space in the fridge, a supermarket is directly opposite and we were able to make food.
  
  What could be improved: Bed could be more comfy

  The rooms were well maintained and very clean. The decor was pleasingly unique and fun. Refreshments such as cool water and tea, coffee were available. Angie, who welcomed us, was friendly , reliable and helped with guidance about places to go. The courtyard was beautiful.

  Beautiful garden and well equipped communal kitchen area. Location is handy with a supermarket right across the road. Davide was very helpful and even called us a taxi when it was time to leave. He also sorted the air conditioner for us when we didn’t know how to use it properly. The room was clean and bathroom spotless. All in all a very pleasant stay.
  
  What could be improved: Would probably book a larger room when sharing with family if there was one available at the time.

  Easy walk into town – great host, clean, tidy rooms – garden/courtyard available for use, grocery store opposite the front door. Very happy with our stay! Davide the host was available on whatsapp whenever we needed him! Will go again!
