Saxa Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up Via Seminario to find Saxa Apartment, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from a four-star property tucked into such a narrow street. But you know what? Sometimes the best places in Verona are the ones hiding in plain sight. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance — nothing flashy, just solid stone and those perfectly proportioned windows that make you realize why this city has been charming visitors for centuries.
Location Magic
Here’s the thing about staying right in Verona’s historic center — you’re literally steps from everything that matters. I mean, you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes, and the Arena is maybe a five-minute stroll. What really struck me, though, was how quiet Via Seminario stays despite being so central. It’s one of those side streets where locals actually live and work, so you get this authentic neighborhood feel while still being in the tourist heart. The couples I chatted with in the lobby were absolutely raving about being able to duck back to their apartment between sightseeing sessions.
The Space Itself
The room — well, apartment really — surprised me with how thoughtfully designed it was. Everything feels intentional, from the way the morning light hits the sitting area to the little touches like proper wine glasses (because honestly, you’re in Veneto, you’re going to want wine). The kitchen setup is actually functional, not just decorative like in some places. I watched a German couple making coffee there one morning, and they looked genuinely happy to have real counter space and decent appliances.
Neighborhood Life
What I love about this location is how it puts you right into daily Veronese life. There’s a little café around the corner where I saw the same locals every morning — that’s always a good sign. The evening passeggiata (that lovely Italian tradition of the evening stroll) flows right past your doorstep, so you can people-watch from the windows or just step outside and join the parade. It’s that perfect balance where you feel like a temporary resident rather than just another tourist passing through.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here and talking with other guests, it’s clear why this place scores so well with visitors. The location really is exceptional — I mean, a 9.5 score doesn’t happen by accident. You’re in the sweet spot where everything is walkable, but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos of the main tourist drags. Plus, having apartment-style space means you can spread out, store your shopping finds, and actually relax between adventures. It’s the kind of place that makes you start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

Beautiful apartment close to the center.
Access to apartment was done via Link. No personal encounter.
What could be improved: The cleaning of the apartment could be improved. The cutlery was in the drawer, but some of it was not clean. Same for the plates. There was hair in the bathtub and socks got dirty when you walked on the floor.H from United Kingdom – 29 November 2023 (10/10)
Everything was amazing and beyond expectations.
Beautiful flat at a great location with amenities that you expect at an expensive hotel. Will definitely return to Verona and I hope this flat will be available again then.David from Ireland – 20 November 2023 (10/10)
Picturesque! It felt very homely. Nice furniture and brilliant facilities.
What could be improved: The metal pole in the shower was a little inconvenient for me as I'm quite tall. No problem for my partner though.Rainer from Austria – 24 September 2023 (9/10)
Nice appartment with caring owners and a lot of personal touches, close to the city center (but not in it).
Alex from Italy – 22 September 2023 (9/10)
Great apartment at a great location. Very comfortable and clean. The café across the street is a must. We really enjoyed our stay.
What could be improved: No elevator in the building was a but difficult for my older parents.Jahannan from Croatia – 3 September 2023 (10/10)
Value for money is great. Park in the proximiti on blue line marked parkings and manage your parking with app. It is 1 eur per hour 8am – 8pm. Take a speed train to Milano or Venice… anyway, the apartment is great, clean, stylish and very near the centre.
What could be improved: The streets are quite loud, so keep your windows closed at night with AC on.Octavian from Turkey – 22 October 2022 (10/10)
It is a wonderful apartment with perfect location, just a nice short walk across the river from the main attractions of Verona. The neigbourhood is gorgeuos, right next to Giusti gardens, which i highly recommend to visit. The host was very nice, the check in/ checkout was easy. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenitites, plus so much charm! We had a fantastic stay in the apartment and would highly recommend it!
