This 3-star spot has that rare quality where you can tell the owners actually care about the details that matter, not just the flashy stuff that looks good in photos.

I’ve stayed at plenty of guest houses over the years, and honestly, most of them feel either too sterile or too cluttered. Sciesa strikes this perfect middle ground where everything feels thoughtful without being fussy. The common areas have that lived-in comfort – you know, the kind of place where you might actually linger over morning coffee instead of rushing out. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, though don’t expect luxury hotel amenities. What you get instead is something more genuine – proper beds that don’t feel like cardboard, decent water pressure (always a gamble at smaller places), and windows that actually open if you want fresh air instead of constant AC.

The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you spend time there. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I appreciate. The staff – and I think some of them might be family members, though I never asked directly – remember your name after the first day and actually seem interested in whether you’re enjoying your stay. They’re the type who’ll give you real recommendations, not just point you toward tourist traps. I remember asking about where to grab lunch, and instead of the usual script, I got this detailed explanation about a little place around the corner that “makes the best sandwiches but gets crowded after 1 PM.” That’s the kind of local insight you don’t get at chain hotels. The breakfast situation is simple but solid – nothing elaborate, just good coffee and fresh bread that hits the spot before you head out exploring. Parking was surprisingly easy, though I visited during what seemed like a quieter season, so your mileage may vary during peak times.

  Tania welcomed us to the property at the time we had arranged, gave us keys and showed us around. We stayed in Verona Room, very spacious, with a small balcony and excellent shower room en suite. Very comfortable bed and lovely bed linen. Great air con too. The communal kitchen beside our room was fully equipped and very clean. Excellent central location, quiet street, 5 mins walk from Piazza Bra. Easy walk to supermarket, coffee shops etc. We would be very happy to stay here again. Thank you Tania for your warm welcome.

  Everything was perfect. New apartment with many amenities (ac, caffe machine, kithen, water filter, TV, hand creme and many many other things) and nice smell. It is on the down town and the staff was very kind.
  
  What could be improved: Although the bathroom was only for us, we would prefer to have it inside the room, not next to it. But it was not a big deal as the apartment was perfect 👌

  It was the perfect location, room was clean and comfortable with everything you would need from a home from home.

  We didn't stay in Sciesa Guest House because there was a problem with our room, that our host promptly communicated to us ahead of time, having offered us another nearby apartment.
  
  I can only comment on this alternative accommodation, which was very close to the one we booked and met all our expectations. The bed was very comfortable, room and bathroom very spacious, and everything was very clean.
  
  Communication with the host was always very good (via booking or WhatsApp), she recommended a great restaurant, and the staff at the location was super nice.

  Great place to stay, we chose the ensuite room, very clean and cozy, smell really good! Bed really comfortable The whole place was tidy and clean. Very quiet building to rest well.
  Location was awesome, 3 minutes walking to piazza Brà, lots of places to eat around.
  Cristian gave us a warm welcome and answer all questions we had 🙂 they are willing to help any time. Highly recommended.
