Sciesa24 Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Sciesa24 on Via Amatore Sciesa, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked into the historical center of Verona in a way that feels authentically local rather than touristy. The entrance is understated, which I actually appreciate because it means you’re staying somewhere the locals know about. This four-star property sits on the piano rialzato (that’s the raised ground floor, for those brushing up on their Italian), and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re genuinely in the heart of everything, but not in that overwhelming way where tour groups are constantly streaming past your window. The location score of 9.7 isn’t just marketing fluff; you can actually walk to Juliet’s balcony, the Arena, and Piazza delle Erbe without breaking a sweat. I mean, couples rate the location 9.5 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get why. You’re close enough to duck back to your room between sightseeing sessions, which is something you don’t realize you need until you’re doing it.

The Space

The accommodations have this modern-meets-historic vibe that works really well in Verona’s old center. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to create a contemporary feel while respecting the building’s character — you know what I mean, those little architectural details that remind you you’re staying somewhere with actual history. The setup feels more like a sophisticated urban retreat than a typical hotel, and there’s something refreshing about that approach in a city that can sometimes feel a bit theme-park-ish with all the Romeo and Juliet tourism.

Getting Around

One thing that really matters when you’re staying in Verona’s historical center is how easy it is to navigate from your base. From Sciesa24, you’re positioned perfectly to explore on foot — the narrow medieval streets that make driving a nightmare actually become part of the charm when you’re walking. The train station is accessible without too much hassle, which is crucial if you’re doing day trips to Venice or Lake Garda (both totally doable from here, by the way). Plus, you’re far enough from the main tourist drags that you can find actual local spots for aperitivo without wandering for ages.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.2 rating tells the real story here — this place consistently delivers on what travelers actually want from a Verona stay. You get that authentic Italian experience without sacrificing comfort or convenience, and the location means you can be spontaneous about your sightseeing. Whether you want to catch an opera at the Arena or just wander the atmospheric streets with a gelato, everything feels accessible from here. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because leaving feels like giving up the perfect home base.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Verona at least two months ahead for major events like opera performances and wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular romantic sites.

Lovely apartment in a super location

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Elena from Romania – 10 September 2024 (10/10)

The property is very cool in summer and quiet, which is a great bonus. It is very well-equipped and professionally presented. I loved the small touches such as a welcome basket and the booklet with recommendations. The communication with the host was immediate and very helpful. The property is in a perfect location for the city centre and Arena. I will gladly be back.

  • Eric from United States – 8 September 2024 (10/10)

We liked everything. The location is a 5 minute walk from Piazza Bra. There is a choice of restaurants just around the corner. The unit comes equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

What could be improved: We’re scratching our heads, but there is nothing that we did not like. We’d give it 11 out of 10.

  • Jensen from Denmark – 27 July 2024 (9/10)

Very convenient location. Safe, private and quiet despite being placed in the middle of town.

What could be improved: A bit tight for three persons if you want to stay longer, but for a couple of days it is a great choice.
The photo did not match reality completely since we had a sofa bed and the photo suggests a ‘real’ bed. The sofa bed was convenient, however, so no big deal.

  • Lisa from Austria – 23 July 2024 (10/10)

  • Alexandros from Greece – 29 June 2024 (10/10)

The location was very close to the centre. The appartement was spacious and very clean. Barbara is a very kind and efficient host. Ideal for families

  • Eleanor from United Kingdom – 28 June 2024 (10/10)

Great location to explore Verona. 15 minute walk to train station as well as tourist sites. Nice sized apartment. We stayed for just 3 days but would be fine for a longer stay. It’s on the ground floor so there is very little natural light but this is a good feature as it keeps the apartment cooler. Check out nearby Enoteca Ristori for aperitifs or dinner.

  • Rebecca from United Kingdom – 25 June 2024 (10/10)

Fantastic location and well thought out studio with everything you need to feel like you live like a local
Fabulous communication and instructions from the owner and we felt very relaxed and comfortable
    Thank you

  • Jelena from Slovenia – 31 March 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: The bed ( couch) in the living room- bed for two extremely uncomfortable
