Well, except during peak season in summer; things can get lively with fans or festival crowds from the Verona Opera nearby. The bathroom’s modern, with a rainfall shower that felt like a spa after hiking around the Castelvecchio – though, fair warning, the hot water takes a second to kick in, nothing major but worth noting if you’re in a rush. And the Wi-Fi? Solid, fast enough for streaming Netflix without buffering, which was a lifesaver on a rainy evening when we skipped the crowds at Juliet’s House.

Look, if you’re planning a trip to Verona and want something authentic without the inflated prices of the centro storico spots, Simon Apartment is where it’s at – it’s got that 4-star polish but feels genuinely lived-in, like you’re borrowing a friend’s pad. Sure, it’s not right in the thick of things, so if you hate walking or buses, maybe opt for something closer to Piazza Bra – but for me, that slight remove made the evenings peaceful, a real breather from the tourist bustle.
