Suite Dreams in Verona Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Suite Dreams in Verona? The name sounds a bit cheesy, but honestly, this place actually lives up to it. I stumbled across it during my third visit to Verona – and I mean stumbled literally, because I was wandering around those narrow medieval streets with my nose buried in a map like a total tourist.
The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about what travelers actually want. The suites are genuinely spacious (not that fake “spacious” you see in photos), and I loved how each one feels different – some have these gorgeous exposed beams that remind you you’re in a city that’s been around for centuries, others have these surprisingly modern touches that somehow don’t clash with the old-world vibe. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, which matters more than you’d think after spending days walking on cobblestones. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night just because I wasn’t ready to leave that bathroom – marble everything, rain shower that actually has decent pressure, and enough counter space to spread out all your stuff without playing Tetris with toiletries.
What really sold me on this place, though, is how the staff seems to get that you’re here to experience Verona, not just sleep somewhere. The woman at the front desk (I think her name was Giulia?) gave me directions to this tiny osteria that wasn’t in any guidebook but served the best risotto all’Amarone I’ve ever had. She also warned me about the construction near Piazza delle Erbe that would’ve totally messed up my morning plans. These are the kinds of details that make a 9.0 rating actually mean something – it’s not just about thread counts and marble bathrooms, it’s about people who care. The only tiny complaint I have is that the elevator is one of those old European ones that fits maybe two people and a small suitcase, but honestly, that’s half the charm. Plus, if you’re staying here, you’re probably planning to do a lot of walking anyway, so a few extra flights of stairs won’t kill you.

It was new, clean with good air conditioning. Location was excellent. We were there for the opera and it was a nice short walk to the arena. Very close to the piazza erbe in the old city as well. Would definitely recommend it and stay here again. Our host Federico was welcoming and helpful.
What could be improved: The only negative was that you could hear people talking in the hallway as the walls were kind of thin.Maris from Ireland – 12 October 2022 (9/10)
Convenient location- few minutes to Arena and not more than 10 mins to any location in historical centre.
Lovely stay- gorgeous view from room, spacious room, kettle and coffee machine, hair dryer.
Communication with our host Federico was excellent – he also gave great tips about area etc.
What could be improved: There was no iron in the room
