I stumbled across SUITE MORGANA in San Zeno during one of those random booking searches where you’re just scrolling through options, and honestly? It turned out to be one of those happy accidents that make you feel like you actually know what you’re doing when you travel. The San Zeno district isn’t where most tourists end up – which is exactly why I loved it.

The thing about this place is that it sits in this perfectly quiet corner of Verona where you can actually hear yourself think, but you’re not stuck in some sterile hotel bubble either. I mean, you’ve got the Basilica di San Zeno just around the corner (hence the name, obviously), and that whole area has this lived-in feel that the city center sometimes lacks when it’s packed with tour groups. The suites themselves are surprisingly spacious – I kept walking around my room the first night because I wasn’t used to having actual space to spread out. There’s this nice attention to detail in the furnishings that doesn’t scream “we spent a fortune” but definitely whispers “someone cared about making this comfortable.” The bathroom was modern enough to make you happy, traditional enough to remind you where you are.

What really won me over was the neighborhood vibe, though. You know how some places feel like they exist just for visitors? This isn’t that. There’s a little bakery about two blocks away where the owner started recognizing me by day three (my Italian is terrible, but somehow we made it work), and the evening passeggiata along the nearby streets has this authentic rhythm to it. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just… works. Check-in was smooth, the staff actually seemed to enjoy helping rather than just going through the motions, and I never had any of those annoying little issues that can derail a trip. Parking was easier than I expected for this part of the city, which is saying something if you’ve ever tried to navigate Verona with a rental car. The only minor thing – and I’m really reaching here – is that if you’re the type who needs to be within stumbling distance of the main tourist sites, you’ll want to factor in a pleasant 15-minute walk or quick bus ride. But honestly, that distance is part of what makes it special. You get to feel like you’re staying somewhere real, not just passing through.

  El apartamento esta muy bien, es amplio, los dormitorios amplios, uno de ellos ( con cama doble, de matrimonio) con baño incorporado en el dormitorio; el otro dormitorio mas grande aún, con cama grande y una cama individual ( ideal para pareja con algun hijo ); además hay una sala de estar tambien de buen tamaño, que tiene un sofa-cama. Los baños, también bién. Esta todo nuevo, en muy buen estado. Además en cada estancia, tanto dormitorios como la sala de estar, hay aparatos de aire acondicionado que funcionan bien, además de ventiladores de techo; todo ello lo agradecimos por los calurosos dias y noches que hizo durante nuestra estancia, en el mes de agosto.
  La ubicacion tambien es buena, está junto al río, muy cerca de la Basilica de San Zeno, y a unos 20 minutos andando del centro histórico;En la zona hay restaurantes y un supermercado para comprar lo que necesites.
  Tanto el Check inn como la salida, muy fáciles las llaves estan en una cajita junto al portal con codigo que te manda el anfitrion

  The rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities were great.

  Big apartment that can accommodate 7 people. Quiet neighborhood. Cooking equipment. Coffee machine and complimentary capsules. Complimentary Shampoo and body wash and water bottles in the fridge.
  
  What could be improved: The biggest issue was that we arrived later than had originally planned due to flight delays. When we got the apartment we rang the bell and the door didn't open. We contacted the property managers and they did not pick up. We tried calling and texting multiple times. We decided to go ring the bell of one of the other apartments and they kindly let us in. The property managers read the message next morning and didn't even check in with us.
  
  All the beds including the couch, apart from the double one, are very uncomfortable.
  
  
  
  There is a small cabinet in the kitchen where there are some gas pipes and it strongly smells like gas if you open it.
