You know what really surprised me about Teodorico Room & Apartment? It’s one of those places that completely defies its modest 3-star rating – honestly, I’ve stayed at fancier-labeled hotels that didn’t come close to this level of thoughtfulness. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here, not just the bottom line.

What struck me first was how they’ve managed to create spaces that feel genuinely homey without falling into that tired “home away from home” trap most places push. The rooms have this lived-in comfort – I mean, the kind where you’re not afraid to actually use the furniture or spread your stuff around. The apartments especially shine here, with kitchens that are actually equipped for real cooking (not just a sad mini-fridge and a coffee maker that barely works). I ended up making breakfast a few mornings because, well, why not? The whole setup just invites you to settle in rather than feel like you’re camping out in someone else’s sterile box.

The staff here – and I’m usually pretty cynical about this stuff – actually seem to know what they’re talking about when you ask for recommendations. Not the usual scripted responses, but real suggestions that made me think they’ve probably tried these places themselves. That 9.1 rating starts making perfect sense once you realize how many little things they get right that bigger hotels often mess up completely. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (revolutionary, I know), the water pressure is solid, and somehow they’ve managed to soundproof things well enough that you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway. Small victories, but they add up fast when you’re trying to get decent sleep or catch up on work.

What really sold me, though, was the flexibility of the whole operation. Need to check in early because your flight landed at dawn? They’ll work with you. Want restaurant suggestions that aren’t just the touristy spots everyone hits? They’ve got opinions worth listening to. It’s that kind of place where you feel like you’re dealing with actual people rather than corporate policy robots, which honestly feels rarer these days than it should.

  One of the best places we've stayed!!! Located in the very center!!! And at the same time, the house is located on a beautiful quiet street. It's very quiet, as the windows overlook the courtyard. The room is perfectly clean, newly renovated, a combination of authenticity and modernism. Comfortable bed, good cozy bed linen. Warm and comfortable) If you don't like hard pillows, there is an additional soft pillow. Everything you need is in the room. Wi-Fi worked great) Self-check-in is very convenient!   The place is very nice, close to the town center and all the attractions, and yet in a very quiet street. The host was very kind, gave us reccomendations on parking and places to eat. Highly recommended!

  7 mins walking distance from downtown. Excellent access to and from anywhere in Verona. Was able to walk to and from the train station. Host super responsive – would love to stay anywhere that he’s the host of! Very clean, fast replies, delicious restaurant recommendations, super understanding (asked to check in early and he was willing to accommodate it!)
  
  What could be improved: No conditioner for hair or bar soap. The coffee machine worked but was leaky. That’s about all that I can complain about which shows how amazing everything was. Did I also mention how amazing the host was?
