Terrazza Garibaldi by Postcardsfrom Overview

First Impressions

Walking up Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, you’d almost miss Terrazza Garibaldi by Postcardsfrom if you weren’t looking for it — and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This four-star boutique property sits right in the thick of Verona’s historical center, tucked into one of those narrow streets that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a Renaissance painting. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly Italian way, but once you’re inside, you realize you’ve found something special.

The Heart of Verona

I mean, when couples rate the location a perfect 10, you know something’s working. You’re literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe — I’m talking a two-minute stroll to the market square where locals still buy their produce and tourists snap photos of the medieval towers. Juliet’s balcony is practically around the corner, and the Arena di Verona (where they do those incredible opera performances) is close enough that you can walk there without breaking a sweat. What I love is that you’re in the real heart of things, but Via Garibaldi itself isn’t one of those tourist-clogged streets where you can’t move.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this perfect blend of historical character and modern comfort — exposed beams overhead, but thankfully excellent air conditioning (trust me, you’ll want that in summer). The “Postcardsfrom” name makes sense when you see the attention to detail; everything feels curated, like someone actually thought about how travelers live in a space. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, and I appreciated having a proper shower with good water pressure. The terrace aspect really delivers too — some rooms have these lovely outdoor spaces where you can have your morning coffee while watching Verona wake up below.

Local Insights

What you won’t find in most hotel descriptions is how perfectly positioned this place is for actual Verona life. There’s a fantastic osteria just down the street that locals frequent (not the touristy spots), and you’re close enough to the Adige River for evening walks when the day-trippers have gone home. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood — they pointed me toward a wine bar that I never would have discovered otherwise. You know what’s also nice? The area quiets down at night, so you get that authentic residential feel without sacrificing access to everything you want to see.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.3 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects how this place gets the balance right between location, comfort, and character. You’re staying somewhere that feels distinctly Veronese rather than generically Italian, and the size means you get personal attention without the corporate hotel feel. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about being tucked into this historic street while still having all the modern amenities you need. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in your room rather than just crash there between sightseeing sessions.

The appartment is situated in the very center of Verona. It is high class furnishing and very well kept. Functional and clean. The staff is very helpful and understanding. When return to Verona we will stay here again.

    What could be improved: —

Beautiful apartment, tastefully decorated. Very spacious, with lovely terrace. Great walkable location. Quiet. Would have loved to stay longer.

What could be improved: Too many keys, dragging heavy suitcase up three floors. Listing claims two bathrooms, which implies two full baths. There is only one full bathroom.

    Fully equipped kitchen
Owner responded very quickly to our questions

  • Christa from United States – 15 August 2024 (9/10)

In the middle of beautiful historic Verona you find a place with all its medieval, however very efficiently modernized charme and you feel immediately integrated into Italian daily life. There is no elevator to the apartment. But each single step of the staircase brings you closer to the terrasse overseeing rooftops of parts of Verona. An absolut highlight. There are several bakeries and restaurants close by. You will find public parking nearby. We had ongoing contact to the host and felt very much cared for and safe with all our questions.

  • Stephen from United Kingdom – 14 June 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Furniture on the roof tera e could be updated and more comfortable.

  • Manfred from United Arab Emirates – 10 June 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The roof top terrace was a nice bonus. Isabella, our host, was very helpful. The location is perfect. Can only recommend the apartment, which is ideal for a family of four or two couples.

  • Mohanan from United Kingdom – 11 April 2024 (9/10)

Our host Isabella was excellent She always responded promptly with any issues.
The apartment was strategic as it was easy to get to to places of interest.
