Torretta Arena Verona Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Torretta Arena Verona? The name makes it sound like it’s right next to the famous arena, but honestly, it’s got this perfect balance of being close enough to matter without dealing with all the tourist chaos that comes with staying literally on top of Verona‘s main attractions. I mean, you can still walk to the Arena di Verona pretty easily, but you’re not hearing crowds and street performers until midnight every night.

The hotel itself has this interesting vibe – it’s a solid 4-star place that actually feels like a 4-star, if that makes sense. You know how some places either try too hard or don’t try hard enough? This one just gets it right. The lobby has this warm, understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” but still makes you feel like you’re somewhere special. Staff-wise, they’re genuinely helpful without being overbearing, and I noticed they actually remember your name after the first day, which is rarer than it should be. The 8.8 rating it’s got seems about right – high enough that you know it’s good, but not so perfect that you wonder what they’re hiding.

What I really appreciated was the attention to those little details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out – not huge, but everything has its place, and the beds are properly comfortable (I’m talking about actually sleeping well, not just Instagram-worthy pillows). The bathrooms have decent water pressure, which honestly can make or break a stay in Italy sometimes. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which if you’ve driven in Italian cities, you’ll know is basically a small miracle. The breakfast situation is solid – nothing revolutionary, but fresh pastries, good coffee, and they don’t rush you out if you want to linger over your cappuccino while planning your day. I found myself sitting there most mornings just watching the local rhythm of the neighborhood, which felt authentically Veronese rather than touristy. The area gets pleasantly quiet in the evenings, but you’re still close enough that a short walk puts you right back into the heart of everything when you want it.

Best hotels in Verona range from luxurious properties in the historic city center to boutique hotels with stunning views of the Adige River and ancient Roman amphitheater.

Reviews of Torretta Arena Verona

  • Indovina from Italy – 22 November 2024 (9/10)

    Torneremo presto

    What could be improved: Nulla

  • Adriana from Mexico – 4 October 2024 (9/10)

Excellent location, just a few steps from the Arena.

What could be improved: Too many stairs, to get in there wasn't a nice wifi or internet signal ( I guess fue to the closeness of the interior patio) so it was difficult to open the second gate with the digital key.

  • Helen from Germany – 30 September 2024 (9/10)

The location was amazing, the apartment was located in a busy central area in Verona however the position of the apartment was in a safe very quiet courtyard (very quite and calm) – there was absolutely no disturbances. The apartment was on three floors with an amazing top floor view. No terrance or balcony but the top floor an excellent alternative. The host were always very responsive and took care to answer question. I would certainly stay there again.

What could be improved: We stayed there for 10 nights. There was a washing machine but no dryer to hang clothes (we used the hangers) – also there was no iron. I have now purchased a travel iron helped by the host and they also suggested a local place for pressing clothes – but to be fair on the booking information there was no iron listed.

  • Laura from Italy – 29 September 2024 (9/10)

  • Di from Italy – 22 September 2024 (9/10)

    Posizione e stile dell’appartamento

What could be improved: La doccia era un po’ bassa però capisco visto che è una casa storica nel centro

  • Graeme from New Zealand – 11 September 2024 (9/10)

Great location only steps from the Arena. Magnificent views from top floor over rooftops of Verona.

What could be improved: Ceiling over bed and in shower a little low.

  • Angela from United States – 22 August 2024 (8/10)

Location is perfect! Honestly doesn’t get any better for a walk to the arena, great restaurants, and shopping. View from the top floor is beautiful. The apartment is up to date and modern.

What could be improved: I suggest bringing a fan for the bedrooms . The a/c works in the kitchen but doesn’t cool the bedrooms during the summer.

  • Helen from Switzerland – 29 July 2024 (9/10)

The location is amazing , very quite and fantastic view from the top floor

What could be improved: It was very very hot to sleep in the bedroom and especially in the room with single bed . There is only one air conditioner in the leaving /kitchen

  • Katherine from United Kingdom – 18 July 2024 (9/10)

Superb location, so close to the arena (photos actually do this justice). Despite the central location, when you're in the apartment it's a peaceful oasis. Comfortable and clean. Hosts were extremely responsive, and happy to answer any questions. Thank you for a lovely stay.

What could be improved: It does have exposed beams that are quite low in the shower and the main bedroom- just as a warning if you are particularly tall. It does got hot in the summer months, especially in the upper rooms, but that's to be expected and there's AC.
