You know what really got me about Truly Verona – Delle Erbe suites? The moment you step inside, you’re basically living above one of Italy’s most gorgeous medieval squares – and I mean literally above it. The location is absolutely insane in the best possible way. You’re right there on Piazza delle Erbe, which honestly feels like stepping into a Renaissance painting that somehow has WiFi.

I stayed here last spring and couldn’t get over how the morning light filters through those tall windows while the market vendors are setting up below. The suites themselves are beautifully done – they’ve managed to keep all that historic charm (think exposed beams and original stone details) while actually making everything work for modern travelers. The beds are seriously comfortable, and the bathrooms are way more spacious than you’d expect in a historic building like this. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re literally in the heart of Verona‘s busiest tourist area. They’ve got some kind of magic with the soundproofing, because during the day you can hear the lively buzz of the piazza, but come evening it’s surprisingly peaceful.

The staff actually knows their stuff – not just the generic tourist recommendations, but real local insights. They pointed me toward this tiny osteria about three blocks away that I never would have found otherwise, and honestly, it ended up being one of my best meals in Italy. Getting around from here is a dream since you’re walking distance to basically everything worth seeing, including Juliet’s balcony (though between you and me, it’s pretty touristy). The Adige River is just a short stroll away, and if you’re into the whole Romeo and Juliet thing, you’re surrounded by spots from the story. Parking can be a bit tricky since the historic center has restrictions, but the hotel helped arrange something nearby – just plan ahead if you’re driving. With a 9.4 rating, you can tell this place really delivers on the details, and after staying there myself, I totally get why people rave about it. It’s one of those rare finds where the location is spectacular but the actual hotel experience lives up to it too.

  The location is simply amazing. You have a beautiful view of the old city center square (Piazza Erbe), directly from your spacious bedroom. The suite we had is high up in the building. The space has this lovely charm of an old Italian house. The room was furthermore very spatious and the staff nicely decorated it for our 1 year anniversary. Please see the appended pictures.
  
  Unfortunately, I forgot my phone at the place, which we only noticed after we already boarded a train to Bellano at lake Como. However, this was not a big issue as our hostess quickly send it back using a courier. Thanks again for that!
  
  What could be improved: There is really not much that could have been better. There was some hair, I gues from the previous guests shaving, left on one of the soap dispensers. Apart from that the bedroom and bathroom were clean.

  We loved absolutely everything about this place . Our favorite stay anywhere . To start with Petra was the most wonderful host and so so helpful with any requests or queries. Location outstanding but most of all the room was stunning & overlooked the best view in town . We hope to return before too long !

  The most likeable and the most important thing of this property was the main host young lady Petra! She was so friendly and helpful for any request. She took care of me even after her working hours.. I have never had such a professional and nice welcome in Verona before so a very big thank you dear Petra!
  The apartment is in perfect location of historical part of Verona- you can rich every important place by walking.. and it’s only two minutes walk to my favourite Piazza Erbe!
  The area of the building is very calm and beautiful – interior breathes of historical elegance and cozy feeling.. spacious and suitable for one or even for two persons.
  So I am gonna come back to this apartment again and again 🙂

  Our stay here was so perfect. Petra went above and beyond to make the room so romantic and cosy, it was perfect. And she was so helpful when we thought we lost our keys too! The room is very clean and well kept, and so charming and beautiful in design. The location couldn't be any better, right on Piazza Erbe, you're right in the heart of Verona. We will definitely be booking to stay again.
