I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name UN PUNTO A VERONA, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It literally means “a point in Verona,” which sounds almost poetic in that understated Italian way. But you know what? After staying there, the name actually makes perfect sense.

This is one of those 3-star places that punches way above its weight class, and I mean that in the best possible way. The 8.6 rating it’s got isn’t just numbers – you can feel it the moment you walk in. There’s this genuine warmth from the staff that you don’t always get at bigger hotels, and honestly, they seem to know every corner of Verona like the back of their hand. I remember asking about a quiet spot to grab an aperitivo away from the tourist crowds, and the receptionist didn’t just give me directions – she actually drew a little map showing me exactly which streets to take to avoid the busiest areas near the Arena.

What really struck me about this place is how it feels authentically Veronese, if that makes sense. The building itself has that lived-in character you find all over the historic center – nothing too polished or trying too hard to be boutique-y. My room was comfortable in that no-nonsense Italian way, with solid furniture and windows that actually opened wide (something I always appreciate). The morning light streaming in was gorgeous, and you could hear the gentle hum of the city waking up – not traffic noise, just that pleasant urban rhythm that makes you feel connected to the place you’re visiting. I actually found myself lingering over breakfast just to soak it all in.

The location is what really seals the deal though. You’re genuinely in the heart of things without being right on top of the main tourist thoroughfares. I could walk to Juliet’s balcony in about ten minutes, but I could also discover those narrow side streets where locals do their daily shopping. There’s something to be said for staying somewhere that feels like a neighborhood rather than just a hotel zone. Plus, the staff’s recommendations were spot-on – they sent me to this little osteria that I never would have found on my own, tucked away in a courtyard that doesn’t even have a proper sign out front.

  It was very nice accommodation value wise. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. It has a nice balcony.

  It was a huge penthouse with wonderful views and extra space. It also had a coffee machine and tea which was a nice touch, and the bathroom was nice. The check-in process was very smooth too as we were able to do it on our own

  The balcony with blooming plants, the free parking on the street. Rooms are several, located on the 4th floor, and there is a lift. Extensive communication with the host regarding checking in and out.
  
  What could be improved: The location is quite away from the center. There is good bus service however. No WiFi, no fridge. The walls are thin and you can hear the other guests talking.

  A very friendly and polite host available for quick communication, amazingly bright and clean space, wonderful balcony and view. All new, all clear, all good! Spacious room (almost like a studio) with a very romantic atmosphere which matches and complements Verona experience 🙂
  
  What could be improved: **Note that the bathroom is in a separate room but! it's your own (with a personal key) and just one step away from the doorframe + spacious, nicely decorated and really clean with new equipment to satisfy all the needs. Also pay attention that there is no wifi is case if you need it but the network coverage is superb anyway so we had no problems.

  Vert clean and spacious apartment, amazing terrace and big window that gives a lot of light. Host is very kind, replies within 1 minute. Building is well secured and the location itself is pretty close, 30min walking to the Julietta’s house. Bathroom is private, very clean and had everything neccessary. Bed is comfortable and big
  
  What could be improved: Lack of wifi , however for 1 night stay that wasn’t a big problem. And the lack if Fridge (to put bottles of water or wine) ☺️
