UnicumHouse Verona Overview

You know what caught me off guard about UnicumHouse Verona? The name sounds quirky – honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect – but this little three-star gem actually delivers way more than you’d think for the price point. I mean, with an 8.8 rating, something’s clearly working here, and after staying there myself, I get it.

The whole vibe is refreshingly unpretentious, which is honestly perfect when you’re in Verona and don’t want to blow your budget on accommodation when there’s so much incredible food and wine to spend money on instead. The rooms have this clean, minimalist thing going on – not fancy, but thoughtfully done with good lighting and surprisingly comfortable beds. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re not stuck way out in some dead zone. The staff actually seems to care about what they’re doing, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how rare that is at this price level.

Here’s the thing that really won me over though – the location works brilliantly for exploring the city without dealing with the tourist circus that some of the more central spots turn into, especially during opera season. You can actually walk to the main sights without your legs falling off, but you’re not paying premium prices for being right in the thick of everything. The check-in was smooth, no weird surprises or hidden fees, and they had solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. I stayed there in late spring, and the whole area felt alive but not overwhelming – you could grab morning coffee without fighting crowds, then wander toward the centro storico when you felt like diving into the beautiful chaos. For what you pay, especially compared to some of the overpriced places closer to the Arena, UnicumHouse really gets the balance right between comfort and value.

Reviews of UnicumHouse Verona

  • Anna from Finland – 20 October 2024 (9/10)

Good value for money. The apartment was clean, bed comfortable and the apartment is within walking distance from city centre. Communicating with the host was easy.

  • Catharine from United Kingdom – 12 October 2024 (9/10)

We had a very delayed flight (arriving at 3am) and the key safe check in worked perfectly, the instruction for the location and getting to the room we're spot on. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. The location was a little out of the centre, but only a 10 minute walk to the main square and , well served by bus lines. There were a full range of kitchen facilities including a large fridge and freezer etc. It was very peaceful, despite being close to the centre. We didn't drive so not sure what to say about parking. I enjoyed browsing the local shops – second hand bookshop, bakery, etc. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

What could be improved: It was perfect in every way, peaceful, a short walk to fantastic food options, shops and attractions. I recommend unione radio taxi verona if your flight is late like ours was!

  • Katerina from United Kingdom – 27 May 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: The only issue is that there was no elevator and the stairs are quite steep to drag the suitcase to 3 floor.

  • F from Germany – 19 May 2024 (8/10)

It was a very lovely small Apartment with all the facilities needed, it was very clean.

What could be improved: The bedclothes weren‘t fixated to the quilts, they slipped all night. Practically we were using the quilts everyone used before us. It was disturbing.

  • Elena from Romania – 28 April 2024 (9/10)

Very nice apartment in a great location. Away from the busy historical center but easy to get there when you want. Parking available (with payment) in the adiacent streets.

  • Cordelia from Germany – 27 March 2024 (9/10)

    Everything was perfect. Modern interior!

What could be improved: Parking situation wasn’t too good but ok
