This isn’t your cookie-cutter chain hotel experience – it’s one of those places where you can tell someone actually thought about the design instead of just ordering everything from the same catalog.

What really caught me off guard was how each room genuinely feels different. I mean, you hear hotels claim this all the time, but here you’ll actually find yourself peeking into the hallway wondering what the room next door looks like. The 3-star rating might make you think “budget basic,” but the 8.4 guest rating tells the real story – this place punches way above its weight class. The rooms have this eclectic vibe that somehow works, like staying in a friend’s well-traveled aunt’s apartment where every piece of furniture has a story. Some rooms lean modern with clean lines and unexpected art pieces, while others embrace a more vintage aesthetic that feels curated rather than thrown together.

The staff here actually seems to care about what they’re doing, which – let’s be honest – isn’t always a given at this price point. Check-in was smooth, and they knew little details about the neighborhood that you won’t find in guidebooks. You know what I appreciated? They didn’t try to oversell me on extras or upgrades; they just wanted to make sure I had what I needed. The building itself has character too, with common areas that invite you to linger rather than just rush through. I found myself actually hanging out in the lobby area with a coffee, something I rarely do at hotels. Sure, it’s not going to have all the bells and whistles of a luxury resort – don’t expect a spa or room service menu the size of a novel – but that’s kind of the point. What it lacks in standard amenities, it makes up for in personality and genuine hospitality. If you’re the type of traveler who’d rather have a memorable stay than a predictable one, and you don’t need someone to carry your bags or fold your towels into swan shapes, this place will likely surprise you in the best way.

  The owner was lovely
  
  What could be improved: Needs more pillows. The door also got jammed on our last night and made it difficult for us to get into the apartment.

  The host, Francesco, was great, very accommodating and available and kind. The apartment has air conditioning which was what we needed, everything was clean and as expected. The walk to the bridge into the old town was straightforward, about 20 mins, we found it a reasonable distance to walk back and forth during the day and in the evening.
  
  What could be improved: The water pressure for hot water was low, but other than that no other dislikes!

  Quiet area just outside the Verona city center. The room with a shared kitchen and a generous private bathroom was very comfortable.

  What could be improved: The bathroom appeared to leak and getting in the door was confusing at first.

  The house and the room were super nice, clean, organised and well cared for.
  We had a big window looking at the street from our room! so a lot of light and in a good neighbourhood. Across the street there's a park and plenty of parking in the street that you can pay trough an app or the machine in there.
  The owner was super accommodating to our needs and reachable.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing I would say is that we didn't get new towels really during our stay or any cleaning. And the other thing is that there's some humidity in the bathroom and part of the room, which is no good because if you do a long stay it can get not only smelly but also not good for the health.

  What could be improved: I didn't realise how far it was from the city centre, (30 minute walk) but once I got the hang of the buses, it was much better – bus at the end of the road.

  Nice room with private bathroom, the AC is really a bonus in this heat. We didn't use the shared kitchen much but it seems to have all the basic like fridge, kettle etc. It's not right in the city centre but only about 20-25 minute walk, plus we like to go to the local cafe/ restaurants that are amazing and not expensive.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing I could think of is that sometimes you could hear people talking in the kitchen or in the room next door, but during our stay it was never a huge problem.
