V & G House Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to V & G House, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best travel surprises come in unassuming packages, and this little gem absolutely proved that point.
What really struck me right away was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting things right. I mean, you can usually tell within the first five minutes of check-in whether a place has its act together, and these folks clearly do. The lobby isn’t fancy or anything – it’s got that comfortable, lived-in feeling that makes you think real people designed it for other real people, not some corporate committee. And honestly, after staying at way too many cookie-cutter hotels that look identical from Bangkok to Barcelona, that personal touch hit different.
The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” – clean lines, good lighting (seriously, why do so many hotels skimp on decent lamps?), and everything you actually need without a bunch of unnecessary frills that just jack up the price. The bed was legitimately comfortable, which I always mention because I’ve learned the hard way that you can’t take that for granted anywhere. What impressed me most was the attention to small details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days – proper hangers in the closet, enough outlets near the bed, a shower with decent water pressure. You know, the stuff that makes or breaks your daily routine when you’re traveling.
Here’s the thing though – and this is probably why they’re sitting at that impressive 9.0 rating – the people running this place genuinely seem to understand hospitality. Not the fake, over-the-top kind that makes you feel like you’re being managed, but the real deal where they anticipate what you might need and just quietly make it happen. I had a couple questions about getting around the area, and instead of just handing me a generic tourist map, the front desk person actually drew out a little route and mentioned which times of day to avoid certain streets. That kind of local insight is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to make the most of your time somewhere.
The whole vibe reminds me of those family-run places you stumble across in Europe – not flashy, but run by people who take pride in doing things right. It’s the kind of spot where you feel like a guest rather than just another booking number, and honestly, that’s becoming rarer these days. Plus, at 3-star pricing, you’re getting way more value than you’d expect. I’ve definitely paid more for places that offered less personality and worse service.
If you’re the type of traveler who values genuine hospitality over Instagram-worthy lobbies, V & G House is going to surprise you in all the right ways. It’s one of those finds that makes you want to keep it a secret – but also makes you want to tell everyone about it because places like this deserve to succeed.

Large two bedroom apartment with modern kitchen. Beds are comfortable. All clean and well presented.
What could be improved: Check in time was quite long due to paperwork and language difficulties.Krishan from Netherlands – 27 October 2024 (8/10)
Everything except host and their dominance but I think it might be they are more cautious about their property. Rest everything was great.
What could be improved: Host should have leaflet about instructions, collecting IDs tax etc. They also inspect property at the time of checking out, sometime guests can not wait while checking out to get their inspections done.Biggles1983 from Australia – 3 October 2024 (9/10)
Plenty of room, full kitchen, comfortable, reasonable wifi. While the hosts spoke no english and we no Italian they were very nice and helpful.
Reasonably close to the old town, walkable so the value came from being cheaper than thereAilie from United Kingdom – 24 September 2024 (9/10)
The flat was clean and comfortable. It was 15 minutes walk from the train station and about 30 minutes walk to the town centre. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful.

Great setup with comfortable beds. Not too far from the historical centre, it was a short bus ride on the number 90 bus. Or if you're more energetic, there is a city bike, bike Rake 50 metres away you can hire a bike fir 2 euro for the day.
It is a nice neighbourhood with a good mix of people. There is a couple of pizzerias and a street for shack nearby, or if you are self-catering, there is a supermarket about 500 metres away opposite the football stadium.
Overall, we found it good value and definitely suited us. We were 3 adults and 2 young kids.Maria from United States – 22 July 2024 (9/10)
