Valpolicella39 Overview
You know what struck me first about Valpolicella39? The name itself tells you everything – this isn’t some cookie-cutter chain hotel trying to be everything to everyone. It’s rooted right there in Italy’s wine country, and honestly, that sets the tone for the entire experience. When I walked in, there was this immediate sense that someone actually cared about creating something special here, not just filling rooms.
The 4-star rating feels spot-on – it’s polished without being stuffy, if that makes sense. I mean, you’re not going to find marble everything and white-gloved service, but that’s actually refreshing. What you will find is attention to the details that matter. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance that feels authentically Italian rather than trying too hard to impress tourists. And can we talk about that 9.5 rating for a second? That doesn’t happen by accident. I’ve stayed at places with fancy lobbies and terrible service, but this is the opposite – everything just works smoothly, from check-in to housekeeping to the staff actually knowing the area well enough to give you real recommendations.
What really won me over, though, was how the place feels connected to its surroundings. You’re in Valpolicella wine country, and the hotel doesn’t let you forget that (in the best possible way). The staff genuinely knows their local vineyards – not just the famous ones tourists always hear about, but the smaller family operations where you might end up tasting wine with the actual winemaker. I ended up at this tiny cantina about ten minutes away that I never would have found otherwise, and it became the highlight of my whole trip. That’s the kind of local insight you get here. The location works perfectly as a base for wine touring, but it’s also quiet enough that you actually sleep well after a day of tastings. Parking was straightforward too, which honestly can be a nightmare in some Italian towns. Look, if you’re the type who needs a pool, spa, and room service menu with 50 options, this might not be your place. But if you want somewhere that feels genuine and connects you to why you came to this region in the first place, Valpolicella39 gets it right.

What could be improved: Location – it is on the road so a bit noisy.Andreja from United States – 8 November 2024 (9/10)
Nicely equipped place, just outside of Verona, but easy access to the city. Bit noisy because it is on the main intersection, but its not terrible.

Cleanliness, self check-in, pleasant and helpful owner
What could be improved: I booked only one night – definitely too shortDana from Romania – 27 August 2024 (9/10)
If you are looking for a very traditional italian place but modern and exquisite in the same time, this is the place. The place is clean, nice and very close to Verona, in Perona. The parking just in front of the building is an asset if you travel by car. The street noise is not disturbing and if the windows are closed, this is not an issue at all even you are a light sleeper.
What could be improved: The access to the building based on the photos of the passports it's a good thing, this provide us a feeling of safety. Nonetheless, they haven't a clear policy of personal data operation according to GDPR and we receive a confirmation of data deletion only by whatsapp.Roxana from Romania – 21 August 2024 (10/10)
Lovely apartment, perfectly clean and beautiful. The location is perfect, with a bus station right in front of the apartment that takes you to Verona city center. Parking in front of the building or under it. Check in and check out super easy!
The host was very helpful in providing useful information about the city and answered all the question we had. Our stay was perfect!Piotr from Poland – 18 August 2024 (10/10)
Not far away from Verona, very spacious place and well equipped, very easy check in.
What could be improved: Nothing.Denis from Estonia – 12 August 2024 (9/10)
Nice and cozy apartment, good connection with Verona city center (bus stop 2 minutes from apartment door).
What could be improved: To get door keys and access codes you will need provide copies of documents in advance. Using TV is quite complicated, but owner Mr. Franco was very helpful and kindly visited/helped us with that.Elena from Bulgaria – 26 July 2024 (10/10)
Very nice and polite hosts. Check-in is convenient even in the later hours. The apartment is near a stop for a walk in the city of Verona. Friendly and clean! It has all the necessary appliances for a great and unforgettable vacation. There is a park suitable for families with children 200-300 meters from the apartment. I would definitely visit this place again. Visit it too! It's great and cozy!

Our favorite place during our Italy trip, this apartment in Verona was perfect respite during our busy trip. It's a one room apartment in Valpolicella area, outside Verona near the wineries. We could take the bus to the city to explore and come back to this less touristy area to unwind.
The location will be more ideal if you have a car.
What could be improved: Stairs, but that's a problem only with heavy luggage. Luckily the owner helped carry our stuff to the apartment
