Hotel Description

I remember pulling up to the Verona All Seasons on a drizzly autumn afternoon – you know, one of those days when Verona’s fog rolls in off the Adige River and makes everything feel a bit more romantic, even if you’re just hauling luggage. The hotel’s tucked away on Via Quattro Stagioni in Borgo Venezia, which is this underrated neighborhood east of the city center. It’s not smack in the middle of the tourist chaos around the Arena or Juliet’s House, but honestly, that’s a blessing – you avoid the throngs of day-trippers and get a taste of real Veronese life. I drove in from Lake Garda, and parking was a breeze; they’ve got a decent-sized lot out back, though it can fill up quick during peak summer weekends when everyone’s flocking to the opera festival. Check-in was smooth – the front desk folks were chatty in that warm Italian way, offering tips on the best gelato spot down the block (it’s Gelateria Ballini on Via XX Settembre, by the way, and their pistachio is killer). The lobby’s got this cozy vibe with exposed brick walls and fresh flowers that actually smell like they’ve been picked from a local garden, not some artificial spray.

What really won me over, though, was how the place lives up to its name – Verona All Seasons feels equipped for whatever the weather throws at you. My room on the third floor had these big windows overlooking a quiet courtyard, and the bed was one of those memory foam setups that sort of hugs you after a long day wandering Verona’s cobblestone streets (which, fair warning, can be murder on your feet). It’s a solid 4-star spot, nothing flashy, but the amenities hit the mark: a mini-fridge stocked with local wines if you ask, and a bathroom with rain showerheads that make you forget the occasional street noise from early morning deliveries – I mean, it’s Italy, so expect some scooter buzz around 7 a.m. Breakfast downstairs is a highlight; think fresh croissants that flake just right, cappuccinos made with care, and seasonal fruits from the nearby markets in Porta Vescovo. I stayed in spring, and the rooftop terrace was perfect for evening Aperol spritzes, watching the sun dip behind the hills – though in winter, it might be too chilly, so bundle up or stick to the indoor lounge. One minor gripe? The Wi-Fi can be spotty in the corners of the building, but hey, who needs perfect internet when you’re steps from exploring Borgo Venezia’s hidden gems, like that little trattoria on Via Fincato serving the best risotto all’amarone.

All in all, if you’re looking for a Verona base that’s authentic without the overpriced hype, this place is a gem – rated 8.9 for good reason, I’d say. It’s about a 20-minute walk or quick bus ride to the historic center via Ponte Pietra, so you can dip into the sights and retreat to somewhere peaceful. Well, peaceful except during July’s Arena operas, when the whole city pulses with energy; book ahead then, as rooms go fast. I left feeling like I’d actually experienced Verona, not just ticked off a checklist – and isn’t that what travel’s about? If you’re planning a trip, give it a shot; you might just end up extending your stay, like I almost did.

Reviews

  • Superb – Cristian from Romania – 30 June 2025 (9/10)

Well furnished apartment, good AC in the mid of a heat wave, easy to park, grocery Store close. Very clean and well kept including the bathroom. Instuctions for remote access easy to understand. Very responsive and helpful host.

What could be improved: Location not that good, 30 min walk from the center; other. Otherwise i would give a 10.
Some old equipment in the bathroom, but not that important, as it was clean and well kept.

  • Excellent place to discover Verona – Lars from Germany – 13 August 2024 (10/10)

Well partitioned, clean apartment in a nice and quiet residential area. Free private parking directly in front of the building. Only 5 minutes by car to the historic center. Proactive and very kind host.

  • Exceptional – Elsa from France – 11 May 2024 (10/10)

  • Very good – A from Bulgaria – 9 May 2025 (8/10)

Compact apartment with a small terrace, very clean. Has everything you need, but very few glasses and plates. Convenient location near bus stops to the center and right next to Lidl. Not very clear instructions for check-in. Street parking in a free zone.

What could be improved: In Italy it is unacceptable not to have an espresso machine. You have to throw out your own trash.

  • Very nice host and apartment with some opportunities to improve. – Carlos from Switzerland – 16 April 2025 (8/10)

The apartment is well placed, well equipped, and Anna was very quick in answering questions. Instructions for check-in were very clear. Parking was very easy. Public transport nearby with easy access to the historic town.

What could be improved: Shower enclosure was too tight. Sofa bed was not so much comfortable, and the bed was a little bit noisy. Some dishes and dish rack were dirty on our arrival. Finally, some glasses to drink the wonderful Italian wine were missing.

  • Appartamento comodo e pulitissimo. – Laura from Italy – 10 July 2025 (10/10)

  • Superb – Felixts from Israel – 14 June 2025 (9/10)
