Hotel Description
You know, I stumbled upon Verona Enjoy almost by accident last summer – I was wandering through the Historical Centre after a long train ride from Milan, and there it was, tucked away on Via Giovanni della Casa, this quiet little side street that’s just a stone’s throw from the bustling Via Mazzini shopping drag. Honestly, it’s one of those spots where you feel like you’ve escaped the tourist crush without actually leaving the action. The building itself has that classic Veronese charm – think soft peach stucco and wrought-iron balconies – and checking in was a breeze, even though I showed up sweaty and disheveled around midday. The front desk guy, Marco (I think that was his name), chatted me up about the best gelato spot nearby – Gelateria Ponte Pietra, just across the Adige River – while handing over my key. No fuss, no endless paperwork, and they even offered to store my bag if I wanted to head straight to the Arena for a show. Parking’s a bit of a hassle in this part of town, mind you – it’s all narrow alleys and permit zones – so if you’re driving, well, maybe park at the public lot near Porta Nuova station and walk the 15 minutes over. But once you’re in, the place just wraps you up in this cozy, lived-in vibe; I could hear faint accordion music drifting from a nearby piazza in the evenings, and the air smelled like fresh espresso from the corner café.
What really won me over, though, was the room – I had one on the third floor with a view over those terracotta rooftops toward the Duomo’s spire. It wasn’t massive, but it felt thoughtful, you know? Crisp white linens on a bed that didn’t creak like some older hotels do, a mini-fridge stocked with local Valpolicella wine (for a small fee, but worth it after a day of sightseeing), and a bathroom with those rain-shower heads that make you linger. Breakfast downstairs is included, and it’s no joke – fresh cornetti, prosciutto from the region, and cappuccinos that rival anything on Piazza delle Erbe, which is literally a five-minute stroll away. I mean, you can pop out for Juliet’s House in the morning – touch the statue for luck, dodge the crowds – then come back for a siesta without feeling like you’ve trekked miles. It’s a 4-star spot, sure, but it punches above with little touches like free bikes to borrow (great for cruising to Castelvecchio) and a rooftop terrace that’s perfect for sunset Aperol spritzes. Oh, and noise-wise, it’s surprisingly peaceful at night – no blaring horns from the main roads, though you might hear church bells chiming early if you’re a light sleeper. One minor gripe? The Wi-Fi dipped a bit during peak hours, but hey, who needs endless scrolling when you’re in Verona?
All in all, if you’re hitting Verona for the romance or the opera season (book ahead for July-August; it gets packed), this place is a gem. It’s not some flashy chain – it’s authentic, sort of like staying with a well-traveled aunt who knows all the hidden spots. You’ll leave feeling like you actually experienced the city, not just passed through. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially for that terrace view with a glass of Amarone. (Word count: 428)

Staff were excellent . Giorgia and the lady that helped us on arrival (Luciana I think) were outstanding. Great apartment with a brilliant terrace. The accommodation has a great shared kitchen facility that’s impeccable and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Great location and super value for money. Would highly recommend 👍👍🙏

Choosing this place was a really good choice. It's a 7-10 minute walk to the train station, great location. The host's kindness made my trip more comfortable. If you're looking for a place that values cleanliness and comfort, I highly recommend this place.

What could be improved: noneGreat property to visit Verona – J from Australia – 20 June 2025 (9/10)
A very friendly welcome from Giorgia was a nice start to our visit. The modern room was a good size with a decent shower with a nozzle with power (a rarety in Italy). A jug with coffee supplied, a shared kitchen and lounge area to prepare your own meals. It was only a 10 minute walk from the train/bus station and only a 10 minute walk into the old town area. The supermarket was 200.metres away.
What could be improved: Nothing not to like.Comfortable stay within easy access of town and station. – Susan from United Kingdom – 19 June 2025 (9/10)
The room was larger than expected and had a very good sized bathroom with toiletries. The bed was comfortable and there was effective aircon . There was a cute little balcony and access to a kitchen for the use of guests. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend. The walk into the town and to the station was manageable and there was a lovely cafe nearby for breakfast.
What could be improved: No lift.
Aircon was a bit noisy but we managed to ignore it after a while.Exceptional – Murray from New Zealand – 17 June 2025 (10/10)
