First Impressions

Walking up to Verona Express Rooms on Viale Andrea Palladio, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a straightforward three-star property. But you know what? Sometimes the simplest places surprise you the most. The building sits in the Borgo Milano area, and while it’s not exactly the romantic heart of Verona with all those famous balconies, there’s something refreshingly authentic about this neighborhood that I actually preferred to the tourist-packed center.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about staying near Stadio Bentegodi — you’re in a real Veronese neighborhood where locals actually live and work. I mean, you can walk to a proper Italian bar for morning coffee without fighting through crowds of tour groups, which was honestly a relief. The area might not scream “romance,” but it’s well-connected to the historic center, and couples seem to really appreciate having that balance between accessibility and quiet evenings. Plus, there’s parking available, which anyone who’s tried to drive in Italian city centers will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a place called “Express Rooms” — clean, functional, and surprisingly comfortable. Nothing fancy, but everything worked perfectly, and the bed was actually better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at in Italy. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, and I appreciated that they didn’t try to cram unnecessary amenities into a small space. Sometimes you just want a good night’s sleep and a hot shower, and this place delivers on both fronts without any pretense.

What Makes It Special

What really struck me about this place was how efficiently everything runs — it’s like they’ve figured out exactly what travelers need and focused on doing those things really well. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests were comfortable, which you can’t always say about budget-friendly accommodations. I also loved that the neighborhood has this authentic Italian feel where you can grab groceries at local shops or sit at a café where you’re the only tourist. It’s Verona, but it’s real Verona, if that makes sense.

Looking at that 9.5 rating, I can see why people keep coming back here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a solid, well-run place to stay while you explore one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. The location works particularly well if you’re planning to see an opera at the Arena or a football match at the stadium, but honestly, even if you’re just using it as a base for wandering around Verona’s historic streets, you’ll appreciate coming back to somewhere quiet and comfortable. For the price point, you’re getting way more value than you’d expect, and sometimes that’s exactly what makes a trip memorable.

  Posizione ottima, facile raggiungere il centro di Verona, a due passi dalla stazione di porta Verona, ottima posizione per le Fiere di Verona, host super disponibile e subito al servizio del cliente.
  
  What could be improved: Aggiungerei una chiave per aprire il cancelletto elettronico esterno per evitare di fare tutto il giro a piedi, così si fa prima a raggiungere il centro e stazione.

  Abbastanza vicino alla stazione, procedura di self check-in molto chiara ed efficiente.

  Ottima la pulizia, la cura nei dettagli, l'ordine e la disponibilità della proprietaria.
  Raccomandata per piccole famiglie o gruppi di amici, soprattutto per la posizione facilmente raggiungibile dalla fermata FlixBus e dalla stazione
  
  What could be improved: Difficoltà nel raggiungere la camera. Fortunatamente era previsto un video tutorial per spiegare come raggiungere l'ingresso che, accompagnato dalla lunga descrizione sul ruolo delle chiavi, ha persomesso l'accesso nonostante non fosse semplice.
  Purtroppo il materasso era molto duro.

  Ho trascorso una notte in questo appartamento ed è stato stupendo. Comodo, funzionale e dall'atmosfera magica: tanta la cura nei dettagli che mi è sembrato davvero di essere dentro ad un treno d'epoca!
  Pulizia impeccabile e fin dal primo momento mi sono sentita accolta. Marianna e Jilenia sono host eccezionali: gentili, simpatiche e molto disponibili.
  Anche la posizione è ottima: a soli 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione e con una piacevole passeggiata si arriva direttamente nel centro storico di Verona.

  Ce que j'ai le plus aimé, c'est Marianna, car elle a rendu mon séjour parfait.
  Elle m'a aidé pour tout, l'accès à la chambre, des conseils pour visiter en une journée et le trajet vers l'aéroport. L'ambiance de la chambre est vraiment intéressante.
  L'établissement est idéal, à 10 min de la gare et dans un quartier calme.

  L'appartamento è molto pulito e accogliente, si trova in un palazzo abbastanza tranquillo e c'è tutto il necessario per passare un soggiorno piacevole.
  Molro particolare e arredato con cura.
  Jlenia e Marianna sono state forse la cosa più bella di questo soggiorno, si sono mostrate sin da subito super disponibili, gentili e di certo delle ottime padrone di casa.
  Hanno saputo consigliarci e risolvere al meglio piccoli inconvenienti.
  Consiglio fortemente di soggiornare da loro perché oltre alla buona posizione e la bellezza in se dell'appartamento, nonostante siano aperte da poco tempo, queste due ragazze sono molto brave in ciò che fanno.
  
  What could be improved: L'unico difetto, se così si può definire, è l'illuminazione della stanza che probabilmente potrebbe essere migliorata.
