You know, when I first pulled up to Verona Relax & Stay Apartments on Via Venti Settembre – that’s this charming little street just east of the Adige River, tucked away from the main tourist crush around the Arena – I honestly thought I’d hit the jackpot. It’s not right in the thick of things like those spots near Piazza delle Erbe, where you’re dodging gelato vendors and street performers all day, but it’s close enough that you can stroll over to Juliet’s balcony in about 15 minutes, or hop on a quick bus if your feet are screaming after a day of wandering. I mean, Verona’s old town can feel overwhelming in peak summer, with all the crowds and that faint mix of exhaust and fresh pizza dough in the air, but this place? It’s in Borgo Venezia, a neighborhood where locals actually live, so you get that authentic vibe – think corner bakeries with buttery cornetti in the morning and kids playing soccer in the nearby parks. The building itself is this understated historic thing, nothing flashy, but stepping inside, the apartments are spotless and way more spacious than you’d expect for a 4-star spot. Mine had these high ceilings and a little kitchenette stocked with basics – perfect for whipping up a quick pasta after raiding the market on Via Mazzini, which is just a short walk away.

What really sold me, though, was how it all just felt… easy. Check-in was a breeze; they sent me a code for the door ahead of time, so no waiting around if you arrive late from a flight – and trust me, after dealing with Verona’s airport shuttle, that’s a godsend. The beds are comfy, with those crisp white linens that smell faintly of lavender (or maybe that’s just the nearby gardens seeping in), and the Wi-Fi’s strong enough for streaming without that frustrating lag you get in some older Italian buildings. Oh, and parking – well, it’s street parking mostly, which can be a hassle in Verona’s narrow roads, especially during the opera season when everyone’s flocking to the Arena, but they have a few spots reserved if you ask nice. Noise-wise, it’s pretty quiet at night; you might hear the occasional scooter zipping by or church bells from San Nazaro nearby, but nothing that kept me up. Honestly, the only minor gripe I had was the lack of an elevator – lugging bags up a flight or two isn’t ideal if you’re traveling heavy, but it adds to that old-world charm, I suppose. And the staff? Super friendly, dropping tips like where to grab the best spritz at that hidden bar on Via Ponte Pietra, without making you feel like a total tourist.

All in all, if you’re looking for a spot that lets you unwind after soaking up Verona’s romance – you know, without the stiff hotel vibe – this is it. It’s got that high 9.7 rating for a reason; families love the apartment setup for longer stays, couples dig the privacy, and solo travelers like me appreciate the homey feel that makes you want to linger. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially in shoulder season when the streets are quieter and you can really breathe in that crisp autumn air. Just book early – places like this fill up fast.

  The attic flat was clean, comfortable and had all we needed plus extras to make our stay. The terrace is a lovely addition and Anna the host was responsive and helpful.

  This is the best hotel experience I’ve ever had in Europe. I would range it 11 from 10. As for details: 1. Location – perfect one, 10 min walking from the city heart. 2. The appartment itself – incredible. Modern kitchen and living room and very atmospheric bedroom with antic floor from 17 century, the vibe is amazing. I slept like baby, it is so quiet there. The view from bedroom is so great:). Bathroom – 5 star hotel in Asia – just perfect. And a cherry on top- sauna inside of appartment. Just for your use. It is amazing! The host – absolutely lovely, helpful and warm person. A bottle of welcome wine and traditional cookies was so good after long trip. I came pretty late and Sandra was waiting for me. The bill was already prepared. And the check out was at 10, but I asked for 11 because my flight was late and got approved. Well, 11 from 10:), beyond any expectation.

  Everything was perfect, really! Sandra was extremely helpful from the beginning and very kind when she welcomed us. The apartment (we stayed in the Art Balcony with 2 bedrooms) is spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and beautifully decorated. Small touches made our stay even more perfect.   We highly recommend this place in Verona. We stayed there for 5 nights and we really enjoyed every single minute. Sandra was very welcoming and always available for questions. The apartment is very spacious and fully equipped with everything you might need.
  
  The location is also very nice. Shops, restaurants, hairdresser in walking distance and only 5 mins walk to the city center.

  I recently stayed at this apartment for two nights, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The apartment was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need.
  
  The location was ideal – close to key attractions, restaurants, and public transport, yet tucked away enough to offer peace and quiet at night. The host went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, providing clear instructions for check-in, local recommendations, and even a few thoughtful touches like snacks and toiletries.
  
  The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved the cozy atmosphere of the living area. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was great for staying connected.
  
  I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient place to stay. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
