Verona Romeo’s Eye Overview
Honestly, when I first walked up to Verona Romeo’s Eye, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a 3-star place with such a theatrical name. But you know what? Sometimes the most memorable stays come from hotels that don’t take themselves too seriously, and this little gem absolutely gets that balance right. The moment you step inside, there’s this wonderfully theatrical atmosphere that somehow manages to feel authentic rather than cheesy – which, let’s face it, could’ve gone either way in a city like Verona where Shakespeare references are practically mandatory.
What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making your stay special without being overbearing about it. I mean, that 9.0 rating didn’t come from nowhere, right? The rooms have this cozy, intimate feel – nothing fancy, but everything works properly and there’s real attention to detail in the little things. The beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places mess this up), and I loved that they’d left these small touches that referenced the whole Romeo theme without going full tourist trap. The bathroom was spotless, decent water pressure, and honestly, after walking around Verona’s cobblestone streets all day, that’s pretty much all you need.
But here’s what I really appreciated – the location puts you right in the heart of things without the chaos you get near the main tourist drags. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough from the Arena crowds that you can actually get some sleep at night. I found myself grabbing morning coffee from this tiny local place just around the corner where the barista barely spoke English but made the most incredible cappuccino. That’s the kind of authentic experience you want when you’re exploring a place like this, and somehow this hotel positions you perfectly for those discoveries. The check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare (always a concern in these historic Italian cities), and when I needed restaurant recommendations, the front desk actually gave me places where locals eat instead of the usual tourist spots. For a 3-star hotel, they’re definitely punching above their weight – it’s one of those places that reminds you why sometimes the best travel experiences come from the unexpected finds rather than the obvious luxury choices.
To book a hotel in Verona during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this romantic city draws visitors eager to experience its Shakespearean heritage and medieval charm.

Reviews of Verona Romeo’s Eye
Nikolaos from Greece – 7 January 2025 (9/10)
The location of the apartment was perfect, especially if you travel with little kids ,near the bus station and next the historical center, everything on foot. Simona was responding very quickly in our messages. The apartment is very comfortable, has everything (oil, salt, coffee) and one pot to cook.If you travel to Verona, stay in Verona Romeo's eyes!
What could be improved: Wifi isnt working properly in order to organize your vacations (buying tickets online, find good restaurants, gps maps)Pamela from Mexico – 30 December 2024 (8/10)
The bed was very comfy and the flat was nice and warm (when there's electricity).
Great location to explore Verona by foot.
What could be improved: This is not a hotel, but an Airbnb where you do not meet the staff. All is by text/ phone. The internet is terrible and practically null. It is not the password, but the type of internet they have. If you are traveling without data or international SIM this can be a problem because you can't get communicated.
The staff was not very helpful with that. Actually, they request your ID to be sent, but you can't send it as no internet. Once you send it (from a restaurant WiFi) they do not respond and it does feel like they ignore you.
Instructions to get in are sent just before you get there, and with a few photos which are heavy to download. Please simplify the instructions, the way they are given is lengthy and confusing.
There's no cutlery or plates for the mini "kitchen" space. The coffee machine is broken. No cookers, just a microwave.
The electricity went off for a night, it goes without saying the heating and all went off. The day after they only said, "you should have messaged, we could have told you how to fix it" without internet? Implicit information here – this might be something that happens regularly.
In sum, the flat is really nice, but the staff and some facilities could be much better. Easy to improve them, if they wanted.Agita from Cyprus – 28 December 2024 (8/10)
Location is perfect to explore the Verona center
What could be improved: Many small (but expected) things missing, like, there is nowhere to hang the coats in the corridor, the same for towels in bathroom, no spoons, etc.
Their wifi network was not available in the room – not an issue for us, but could be for someone )Fabian from Romania – 16 December 2024 (9/10)

She was very understanding. I had a cancelled flight and got to Verona extremely late I was hysterical as I had my kids with me at 1am in a foreign city. She was on her way to get us in however someone entered the building so we could get in
What could be improved: No complaintsCousins from United Kingdom – 24 July 2024 (9/10)
Loved the space, so pristine and beautiful. The bed was comfy, very spacious rooms. Even though the actual apartment wasn’t massive the high ceilings really opened the place up. Location was fab, 20 minute walk to the train and so close into the town!
What could be improved: The WiFi wasn’t amazing but we read that in the reviewsParaskevi from Greece – 19 May 2024 (9/10)
The lady who gave us the keys was so friendly and nice. The location is exceptional, right in the center of the city, the rooms were very clean, smelling amazing and very comfortable with comfy beds and duvets. The kitchen is new and big, as well as the fridge, perfect for family. We wish we stayed longer!
What could be improved: The wifi does not work inside the whole flat, only near the entrance. It was in the description, but I did not notice. Other than that perfect!
