Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Verona Urban Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place with such a straightforward name. But sometimes the best experiences come from the most unassuming spots, and this turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you want to keep it a bit of a secret.

What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel both completely local and surprisingly polished at the same time. I mean, with a 9.7 rating, you’d expect something pretty special, but it’s not special in that over-the-top, trying-too-hard way. It’s more like… well, imagine staying at a really stylish friend’s apartment, except this friend has impeccable taste and actually knows how to make guests comfortable. The space itself feels authentically Italian – none of that generic hotel furniture that could be anywhere in the world. You know what I’m talking about, right? This actually feels like you’re in Verona, not just some international hotel chain that happens to be located there.

The attention to detail is honestly impressive, and I say that as someone who’s stayed in a lot of places that promise the world and deliver mediocrity. Here, it’s the little things that add up – the coffee setup that doesn’t make you feel like you’re performing chemistry experiments at 7 AM, the shower pressure that actually works (thank God), the way the light hits the space in the afternoon. There’s something about the whole setup that makes you want to linger a bit longer than usual, maybe grab some groceries from the local market and pretend you’re a temporary resident rather than just passing through. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in quality where you’ll see the same shopkeeper a few times and start nodding hello – it’s not touristy in an overwhelming way, but you’re definitely not stuck in some remote corner either. Actually, I found myself walking to places I might have taken a taxi to from other accommodations, which was nice for both the wallet and getting a real feel for the city. One thing worth mentioning – this isn’t the kind of place where you’ll have a concierge solving all your problems, but honestly, the trade-off is worth it for the authentic experience and the sense that you’re staying somewhere genuinely special rather than just efficiently functional.

  Michaela was very well prepared. She gave us a lot of information about parking, restaurants, ice creams, shops and attractions in Verona. We really liked the apartment itself, especially the beautiful terrace that served as a dining room. the decor is in a modern style and of a high standard, it is clean. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked. The location is attractive, close to shops, markets and cafes, main monuments 10 minutes by car. We recommend this place and the host. The apartment was really clean and well-maintained, which we greatly appreciated. The bus stop was conveniently nearby, making it easy to get around.   Apartment has clearly been maintained excellently and was very accommodating. Clean and modern, very good facilities. The host took extra efforts to advise on routes around Verona and to ensure our stay was satisfactory. Shops nearby if needed. Really happy with this apartment.
  
  What could be improved: It was a short while out of town, however no issue as host showed us bus routes and access, and only a 5-10min taxi from city centre anyway.
