This place sits in what locals consider the top-rated area, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’re close enough to walk to the main sights without being stuck in the tourist chaos of the city center. The neighborhood has that authentic Italian residential feel where you’ll see families doing their evening passeggiata and little cafés that aren’t trying to trap tourists. It’s the kind of spot where couples seem to really thrive — apparently they rate the location 9.5 out of 10, and I can see why.

Your Home Base

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want after a day of exploring — comfortable without being overly fancy, with those little Italian touches that remind you where you are. The space felt thoughtfully designed, not like someone just threw hotel furniture into a box. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything was at night, which isn’t always a given when you’re staying somewhere with such easy access to the city center. The housekeeping was spot-on too, though that’s something you sort of expect at this level.

The Practical Stuff

Look, I’ve stayed in places where the “excellent location” means you’re paying through the nose for everything nearby. That’s not really the case here — you’ve got genuine neighborhood spots within walking distance where you can grab a decent coffee or aperitivo without the tourist markup. The free parking situation is genuinely valuable if you’re planning day trips to Lake Garda or the Valpolicella wine region, both of which are totally doable from here. Plus, getting to Romeo and Juliet’s balcony or the Arena takes maybe 15 minutes on foot, so you’re not exactly roughing it.

Honestly, Verona Walls works because it doesn’t try too hard. It’s not attempting to be the fanciest place in town — it’s just really good at being what it is.   The host Roberto was amazingly friendly, it was easy to communicate with him. He answered all our questions quickly and we always got some extra information as well. Althought we arrived a little bit late, the host waited us and explaned everything we needed to know. And there were some snacks and beverages waiting for us in the frigde. I forgot my watch when we left and Roberto mailed it back to me right away, I can't thank him enough for that! The apartment was very pleasant, clean and the location was perfect, near of everything but peaceful and quiet surroundings. I highly recommed, especially for couples or friends traveling together!

  The location was brilliant. Just across the river from the historic centre but in a historic neighbourhood full of charisma. The host Roberto was so helpful and gave us recommendations for restaurants which were places he eats himself.

  Roberto's apartment was beautiful and full of character. There was a very well equipped kitchen complete with complementary tea, coffee, snacks etc which were great when arriving on a late flight. Communication with Roberto was great and he was extremely helpful. Good location in a quiet area yet the old town was a short walk away. Verona is beautiful!
