You know what really got me about VeronaInFlat – Castle View? It’s one of those places where the name actually delivers on its promise – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think. I mean, I’ve stayed at plenty of “sunset view” this and “mountain view” that places where you need binoculars and a serious crane of the neck to catch even a glimpse of what they’re advertising. But when I pulled back those curtains in the morning, there was Castelvecchio just sitting there across the way like it was posing for a postcard.

The thing is, this isn’t your typical hotel setup – it’s more like staying in someone’s really well-thought-out apartment, which actually works perfectly in Verona where everything feels so residential and lived-in anyway. The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need (decent wifi, a proper shower, somewhere to hang wet clothes after walking around in the rain), but they’ve also nailed those little touches that make you feel like you’re living like a local rather than just passing through. The kitchen situation is solid if you want to grab some of that amazing produce from the Saturday market in Piazza delle Erbe – which, by the way, is totally walkable from here, though you’ll want to take the slightly longer route along Via Mazzini because the cobblestones are friendlier to your feet and your luggage wheels.

What really surprised me was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re right in the thick of things. I was expecting typical city noise – you know, scooters revving and people chatting outside bars until late – but the windows do their job well. The whole building has this solid, old-world feel that actually muffles sound pretty effectively. During the day though, you’ll catch the gentle hum of local life drifting up, which I found oddly comforting. The 9.0 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not flashy or trying too hard, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was straightforward (they actually answer their messages quickly, which is a blessing when you’re dragging luggage through medieval streets), and while it’s technically a 3-star place, it feels more thoughtful than a lot of supposedly fancier spots I’ve stayed in. If you’re the type who wants to feel settled rather than just accommodated, and you appreciate being able to see one of Italy’s most photogenic castles from your window while you drink your morning coffee, this is your spot.

  Location was great, walking distance to everywhere. Apartment is large and clean. We didn't use the kitchen but it was big enough. It was very enjoyable to cross the historical bridge on the way home. Easy to get the key. We didn't get cold even though we went in winter, but the air conditioner was always turned on.
  
  What could be improved: Shower head was broken and the shelf where you put the shampoos wasn't standing properly. Shower is a bit small to put the shampoo and other stuff on the floor.

  The apartment is exactly as in the pictures. It's very clean and everything you need is present. The location is perfect, as it is located outside the city centre but in walking distance (less than 10 minutes). Though there is a bigger road in front, the apartment is very quiet. In the night it's dark and cool, thanks to airco, and the beds are comfortable (only when you're really tall, like us dutchies 2 metres, it might be a bit small). The communication with Chiara is 10/10. She was very helpful and the check-in was easy.

  A very short walk over the beautiful historic castle bridge to the centre. This was perfect. Helpful to have parking in the area.

  Fantastic location just across the bridge from all the historic sights in Verona. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants for all your needs. Apartment is very comfortable and well equipped.
