VeronaJourneys Overview
You know what struck me first about VeronaJourneys? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it really does feel like the kind of place that becomes part of your Verona story rather than just somewhere you crash for the night. I mean, with an 8.6 rating, I was expecting something solid, but this four-star spot honestly exceeded what I thought I’d get.
The thing is, when you’re wandering around Verona (and trust me, you’ll be doing a lot of wandering), you start to appreciate places that get the balance right between comfort and character. VeronaJourneys sort of nails that sweet spot – it’s polished enough that you feel taken care of, but there’s this genuine warmth that keeps it from feeling sterile. The staff actually seems to know the city well, which is rarer than you’d think. I had this great conversation with someone at the front desk about which gelaterias the locals actually go to versus the tourist traps near the arena, and their recommendations were spot-on.
What really won me over, though, was how the place feels connected to the rhythm of the city. You can tell they’ve put thought into the details that matter when you’re exploring somewhere like Verona – good Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out when you’re trying to figure out opening hours for some tucked-away chapel, decent coffee available early enough for those perfect golden-hour walks, and honestly, just a vibe that makes you want to linger a bit in the morning rather than rushing out. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in quality without being fussy, and the beds are actually good – you know how sometimes hotel beds look great but then you sink into some weird hollow in the middle? Not here. I slept really well, which matters more than you realize when you’re doing a lot of walking on cobblestones all day. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself genuinely relaxed rather than just going through the motions of a hotel stay, and in a city like Verona where you want to soak up every moment, that makes all the difference.

The apartment is a 10/10.
5 minutes walking to the old town ( is like in front ). Location is great, hosts Licia and Gaia also great, Gaia made a whole itinerary of things we should do and restaurants we should try, she was super sweet!
Thank you again for this amazing stay!!Lori from Canada – 26 October 2024 (9/10)
It was lovely, clean and very well situated. Gaia was very informative and helpful at check-in. They also allowed us a later check-out. Much appreciated.
What could be improved: Not a thing.Lucas from Austria – 9 October 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: You can hear everything like the shower from above, etc.
Susan from Australia – 12 September 2024 (9/10)
Loved Licia’s attention to details.
Her advice on what to see was excellent.
Loved having washing facilities
What could be improved: Maybe an extra power point (or two) would make it easier to have kettle and phone charge happen at same time.Sjoerd from Netherlands – 20 August 2024 (9/10)
– The location is perfect with a wonderful view of the city
– The host is very friendly and helpful
What could be improved: – Parking in Verona is expensive (EUR 20 per day in the garage), parking on the street where the apartment is, is only for residents, other street parking is often fullLesley from United Kingdom – 4 May 2024 (9/10)
Great location
What could be improved: Had a slight problem with antsHindley from United Kingdom – 11 April 2024 (9/10)
Host was absolutely great. The location itself is idyllic and perfectly located on the river. A fantastic stay, in a beautiful city – thank you! We stayed with our 4 children and the place was absolutely perfect, and the host went out of her way to help us out too, so thank you!
Sultan from Saudi Arabia – 6 April 2024 (9/10)
Great home
Krzysztof from Poland – 4 February 2024 (9/10)
Great location! Also the apartment looks incredible! True recommend!
What could be improved: There was a coffee machine but unfortunately in the apartment we couldn’t find a coffee or tea. It was annoying as we discovered it on the morning. Don’t get me wrong – the place is amazing! And worth to stay in. But it was one little detail that was missing. Also once you are there you need to pay 200€ deposit. It was the very first time I had to pay the deposit. Once you check out you need to wait about the week for the pre authorization cancellation.Mairení from United States – 31 December 2023 (9/10)
I thought the area was nice. It was by the river and the bridge, so it was easy to navigate where to go. There were food spots near by also, so I thought it was a stay worth having.
What could be improved: Nothing really, everything worked okay. I do wish I could have stayed longer to utilize all the appliances the apartment offered. Staying only one night was worth it, but I wish I could’ve stayed longer.
