VeronaJourneys Overview
First Impressions
When I first heard about VeronaJourneys, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect — the name suggests movement, exploration, something beyond your typical hotel stay. Turns out, that’s exactly what this four-star property delivers. Rather than being stuck in one building, you’re actually staying in carefully selected accommodations scattered throughout Verona‘s historical center, each one positioned to give you a genuine taste of living like a local in this incredible city.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about Verona — the historical center isn’t huge, but where you stay within it makes all the difference. VeronaJourneys has figured this out perfectly, placing their properties right in the sweet spots where you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in five minutes, grab an aperitivo at a neighborhood bar that’s been family-run for generations, and still feel like you’re discovering hidden corners that most tourists miss. I mean, there’s a reason couples rate the location 9.4 — you’re literally living inside a Renaissance painting, with cobblestone streets and medieval buildings as your daily backdrop.
The Accommodations
Each apartment feels thoughtfully curated rather than cookie-cutter corporate. The beds — and honestly, this matters more than people admit — are genuinely comfortable. Not just “hotel comfortable” but the kind where you actually sleep well and wake up refreshed for another day of wandering around Roman ruins. The spaces vary since they’re in different historical buildings, but that’s part of the charm. You might get exposed wooden beams in one place, original frescoed ceilings in another. The kitchenette setup is particularly smart if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the morning market in Piazza delle Erbe and have breakfast with a view.
Living Like a Local
What I really appreciate about this setup is how it changes your relationship with the city. Instead of returning to some generic hotel lobby every night, you’re coming home to your own little corner of Verona. You start recognizing the shopkeeper who opens early, you know which café makes the best cornetto, you discover that tiny osteria tucked away on a side street that doesn’t even have a sign. The staff understands this too — they’re not just checking you in, they’re essentially giving you the keys to experience Verona from the inside out.
Why Guests Love It
The location score of 9.2 tells the real story here. You’re not just staying near the good stuff — you’re staying in it. Arena di Verona is a short stroll away, the shopping streets are right outside your door, and you can easily walk to restaurants that locals actually frequent rather than tourist traps. Plus, there’s something refreshing about having your own space to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing. You can spread out, do laundry if needed, and plan your next day’s adventures without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase in a cramped hotel room. It’s the kind of place that makes you start planning your return visit before you’ve even left.

The apartment is a 10/10.
5 minutes walking to the old town ( is like in front ). Location is great, hosts Licia and Gaia also great, Gaia made a whole itinerary of things we should do and restaurants we should try, she was super sweet!
Thank you again for this amazing stay!!Lori from Canada – 26 October 2024 (9/10)
It was lovely, clean and very well situated. Gaia was very informative and helpful at check-in. They also allowed us a later check-out. Much appreciated.
What could be improved: Not a thing.Lucas from Austria – 9 October 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: You can hear everything like the shower from above, etc.
Susan from Australia – 12 September 2024 (9/10)
Loved Licia’s attention to details.
Her advice on what to see was excellent.
Loved having washing facilities
What could be improved: Maybe an extra power point (or two) would make it easier to have kettle and phone charge happen at same time.Sjoerd from Netherlands – 20 August 2024 (9/10)
– The location is perfect with a wonderful view of the city
– The host is very friendly and helpful
What could be improved: – Parking in Verona is expensive (EUR 20 per day in the garage), parking on the street where the apartment is, is only for residents, other street parking is often fullLesley from United Kingdom – 4 May 2024 (9/10)
Great location
What could be improved: Had a slight problem with antsHindley from United Kingdom – 11 April 2024 (9/10)
Host was absolutely great. The location itself is idyllic and perfectly located on the river. A fantastic stay, in a beautiful city – thank you! We stayed with our 4 children and the place was absolutely perfect, and the host went out of her way to help us out too, so thank you!
Sultan from Saudi Arabia – 6 April 2024 (9/10)
Great home
Krzysztof from Poland – 4 February 2024 (9/10)
Great location! Also the apartment looks incredible! True recommend!
What could be improved: There was a coffee machine but unfortunately in the apartment we couldn’t find a coffee or tea. It was annoying as we discovered it on the morning. Don’t get me wrong – the place is amazing! And worth to stay in. But it was one little detail that was missing. Also once you are there you need to pay 200€ deposit. It was the very first time I had to pay the deposit. Once you check out you need to wait about the week for the pre authorization cancellation.Mairení from United States – 31 December 2023 (9/10)
I thought the area was nice. It was by the river and the bridge, so it was easy to navigate where to go. There were food spots near by also, so I thought it was a stay worth having.
What could be improved: Nothing really, everything worked okay. I do wish I could have stayed longer to utilize all the appliances the apartment offered. Staying only one night was worth it, but I wish I could’ve stayed longer.
