Verona’s View – appartamento 2 Overview

You know what really surprised me about Verona’s View – appartamento 2? I went in expecting just another basic apartment rental, but this place actually delivers on that view promise in its name. I mean, when you’re dealing with a 3-star place, sometimes you brace yourself for disappointment, but honestly – that 9.3 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense.

The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that you don’t always get with vacation rentals. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works the way it should, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff without feeling cramped. The kitchen is properly equipped too – I’m talking real cooking equipment, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. What really got me though was stepping out onto that little balcony area in the morning with my coffee. You get these glimpses of Verona that make you understand why people have been writing love songs about this city for centuries. It’s not some sweeping panoramic thing, but rather these intimate pocket views of terracotta rooftops and that particular Italian light that hits different in the late afternoon.

The location works in your favor without being right in the tourist chaos – you can actually walk to the main sights without dealing with cruise ship crowds at your doorstep every morning. I found myself taking different routes each day just because the neighborhood has these winding streets that reveal little surprises (there’s this tiny osteria tucked away that locals actually go to, not just tourists). Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need the car much. The host was refreshingly straightforward during check-in – no overly enthusiastic sales pitch, just practical information about how things work and where to find what you need. Sometimes the Wi-Fi gets a little moody in the evenings when everyone’s streaming, but it’s nothing that ruins your trip. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stays at night – you get the sense of being in a real neighborhood where people actually live, not some hotel district that turns into a ghost town after dark.

Hotels in Verona offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval gem, with easy access to historic palazzos, charming piazzas, and renowned wine bars.

  • Manolo from Italy – 9 April 2025 (8/10)

Appartamento situtato in un quartiere residenziale, molto spazioso e luminoso, dotata di tutto il necessario per un piacevole soggiorno, posizione abbastanza centrale, fiera a circa 10 minuti di taxi.

What could be improved: Letti non proprio comodissimi

  • James from United States – 4 April 2025 (9/10)

The location was very close to the Santa Marta building at the University of Verona, which was my primary reason for being in Italy,. In this sense, the location was ideal.

THe property is very quiet and secure. There was a formidable entrance gate

This too is worth noting: Reaching this location from the main parts of the Veronetta neighborhood requires climbing 125 steps up an urban staircase. This was good for my cardiovascular health. It was hard on my legs and lungs. But the view and the isolation of an otherwise centrally located apartment depended on this climb.

I also appreciated Silvia, the host. When I needed help, she responded right away. I greatly appreciated her.

What could be improved: The only thing that surprised me, and required a little adjustment, was the fact that the primary bed is elevated and requires a climb up a ladder. At nearly 60 years of age, I found it challenging to sleep in the top bunk!

Upon further review, I see that this can be discerned from the property's pictures. But only if you knew to look for this!

The configuration of the bed did not substantially detract from the fundamental value of the apartment — I loved the location and the very good price.

    Consigliatissimo ✨

Once you get used to the general building concept, you realize apartment is perfect. It is clean, new, spacious, bright and has everything you need for you stay. Comfortable beds. There is a beautiful view from the common terrace. Parking space was important for us (arriving by car). Check-in was smooth – clear instructions and video.

What could be improved: Location is a bit far from city center, which was not such a big issue, except the "last mile" – coming to the apartment after a long walk you have to chose between a steep street or steep stairs…
