You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally in Verona’s Historical Centre, but it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in a museum. I could walk to Juliet’s balcony in about eight minutes (yes, I timed it), and the Arena di Verona is maybe a ten-minute stroll through some of the most beautiful medieval streets you’ll ever see. The neighborhood around Via Giberti has this perfect mix — there’s a fantastic little café two doors down where locals actually drink their morning espresso, and the evening passeggiata flows right past your doorstep. It’s no wonder couples rate this place so highly; there’s something undeniably romantic about stepping out into those cobblestone streets at sunset.

The Room Experience

My room was on the second floor, and I have to say, the attention to detail impressed me. While VeronaVera Giberti doesn’t have its own restaurant, this actually works in your favor — you’re surrounded by some incredible dining options that you might miss if you were stuck eating hotel food every night. The staff gave me spot-on recommendations, including this little osteria around the corner that serves the most incredible risotto all’Amarone. Breakfast is served in a cozy space that feels more like someone’s elegant dining room than a hotel breakfast area, and they source really good local ingredients. I mean, when your morning cappuccino tastes this good, you know you’re in the right place.
