Hotel Description
I remember pulling up to VeronaView Apartment x5 on a balmy evening last summer – you know, that time of year when Verona’s streets buzz with festival crowds spilling out from the Arena. It’s tucked right on Piazza Santo Spirito, this quiet little square in the historical center that’s honestly one of those spots locals love but tourists often miss. No flashy signage or doorman drama; you just buzz in through this unassuming door at number 13, and bam, you’re in your own slice of Verona life. The check-in was a breeze – the host met me with a key and a quick rundown, no fuss, though I will say, if you’re driving, parking’s a bit of a puzzle around here. Best bet is to snag a spot in the nearby Lungadige garages or just walk from the station; it’s only about 15 minutes, and you’ll dodge the ZTL zones that catch out so many visitors.
What really hooked me was how the place feels like a proper home base rather than some sterile hotel room – I mean, it’s called an apartment for a reason. Ours (the x5 one, I think it sleeps up to five) had these massive windows overlooking the piazza, with views stretching toward the Adige River and those ancient bridges like Ponte Pietra just a short stroll away. Mornings, I’d brew coffee in the little kitchenette – nothing fancy, but stocked with basics – and listen to the church bells from Santo Spirito mixing with the distant hum of scooters on Via Emilei. The decor’s modern but nods to Verona’s vibe, with exposed brick walls that smell faintly of old stone and fresh linens. It’s got that 4-star polish without trying too hard: comfy beds, a rainfall shower that actually works (no drippy surprises), and Wi-Fi strong enough for streaming operas if you’re into that. Oh, and noise-wise, it’s surprisingly peaceful at night – well, except during the Opera Festival in July when echoes from the Arena might drift in, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. We wandered to Juliet’s balcony in under 10 minutes, grabbed gelato at that hole-in-the-wall on Corso Porta Borsari, and even caught a sunset from Castelvecchio, all without needing public transport.
Look, it’s not perfect – the stairs up to the apartment can be a haul with luggage (no elevator, sort of a historical building thing), and if you’re a light sleeper, the occasional piazza chatter might nudge you awake. But at a 9.1 rating, it’s spot-on for what it offers: an authentic Verona immersion without the tourist trap prices. If you’re traveling with a small group or just want space to spread out after days exploring the city’s Roman ruins and wine bars, this place nails it. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially off-season in spring when the crowds thin out and you can really soak in the quiet magic of the historical center. Trust me, it’s the kind of stay that makes you feel like you’ve unlocked a secret side of Verona.

The apartment is at a very great location, near city transport stops. Apartment was very well maintained and very clean. Host was very very helpful. Will for sure book the same place if I go back to Verona.

Amazing property for a group or family, two spacious bathrooms and three comfortable double beds. Walking distance from everything and also close to the train station. Had no problems with the host, self check in was a charm. Majestic view from the 3rd floor as well.
Marian from Ireland – 21 July 2024 (9/10)
The location was very close to the Arena to walk. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus & air con was a relief!
What could be improved: The beds could be more comfortable.Frederick from United Kingdom – 9 July 2024 (9/10)
Spacious apartment..Easily accommodates 6 and very comfortable for 4. There’s everything you need for your stay and it’s well placed in the city – 15 minutes walk to main piazza and 10 minutes to train station. Could not praise the owner enough. He kept me updated at all times, provided excellent instructions to gain entry to apartment (with videos) and he regularly checked by text to make sure we were happy. Excellent all round.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike.Kate from Australia – 11 January 2024 (8/10)

Confortable, clean, with all you may need and in a great location.
Ksoomelt from Estonia – 22 August 2022 (8/10)
Very good location – 10min to Arena and around same to Train station. The flat is big – we had 6 people and there was enough space to everyone.
Very good is, that kitchen is separately, so even if You have to use living room as one bedroom, you still have extra space in kitchen. Kitchen is well equipped.
There are two bathrooms (one with bath) and both are spacious.
The flat looks nice, new and clean. It is very good place to stay in Verona!
What could be improved: Check in was a bit weird. First they sent us the letter, that check in is only 14.30 – 17.30 and if You arrive after 18.30, then You have to pay 30 euros and if You arrive after 20.30, You have to pay 50 euros. After 22 the fee is 50 euros. The explanation was, that someone have to come specially from 45minutes away to give us the keys personally. And then they just sent us video and the key was in the keybox – go whenever You want. So in the end it was great system but why all this drama before 😀 ?
The check out is 9.30, we think it is too early.
They also write you that you have to take your own toilet paper and soap. I mean it is ok to take your own personal items and also it is ok to buy more if You stay longer but maybe at the beginning it would be nice if there is some, so You don´t have to run to shop in the very beginning. Luckily there was some for us (probably form last quests) but I still think it is quite basic.Myrianthis from Cyprus – 9 August 2022 (8/10)
Great host, I would choose again.
