Vicolo Amanti Verona Overview
You know what struck me first about Vicolo Amanti Verona? The name literally means “lovers’ alley,” and honestly, they weren’t kidding around with that romantic vibe. This boutique gem sits tucked away in one of those narrow medieval streets that make Verona feel like you’ve stepped into a Renaissance painting – the kind of spot you’d walk right past if you didn’t know to look for it.
I mean, with a 9.6 rating, I had high expectations, but this place actually delivered in ways I wasn’t expecting. The building itself has that weathered stone facade that screams authentic Italy, not some tourist trap trying too hard. What really got me was how they’ve managed to keep the historical character while making everything feel genuinely luxurious – you’re not sacrificing comfort for atmosphere here. The rooms have these gorgeous exposed beams and original architectural details, but the beds are seriously comfortable and the bathrooms are modern without feeling out of place. Actually, the shower pressure alone made my day after walking around the cobblestones all afternoon.
The location is pretty brilliant if you ask me – you’re close enough to hear the buzz from the main piazzas when things get lively, but far enough down these quiet side streets that you can actually sleep at night. I loved being able to walk to Juliet’s balcony (yeah, touristy, but still charming) in about five minutes, and the local osteria just around the corner serves this incredible risotto that the front desk guy recommended. Speaking of the staff, they seem to genuinely know the city inside and out – not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to find the best gelato at 10 PM or which wine bars the locals actually frequent. The check-in was smooth, none of that bureaucratic hotel nonsense, and they stored our bags without any fuss when we arrived early. Honestly, it felt more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a traditional hotel, if that friend happened to have impeccable taste and a serious attention to detail.
To book a hotel in Verona during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this romantic city draws visitors eager to experience its Shakespearean heritage and medieval charm.

Probably one of the nicest apartments I’ve stayed in. Very comfortable, great location, efficient check in process.
Jochen from Ireland – 9 March 2025 (9/10)
Location was brilliant, very close to the center of the old town. Lots of cafes & restaurants close by. Many churches & historic buildings were within an easy walk. The river was also close by. And the property was really quiet

The layout, decor and facilities were excellent throughout the property – everything you would need for a city break 👌
What could be improved: We struggled with the downstairs air conditioning in the incredible heat – could not get it cool enough – may have been our inability to operate the remote – instructions may have helped but only a minor issueSuzanne from United Kingdom – 27 August 2024 (9/10)
Location was great and the apartment was beautifully laid out and suited us perfectly. It was also quiet and the air con was much appreciated in the August heat . Everything was clean and comfortable and the communication was very responsive and helpful.
