Vicolo Leoni 2BRD apartment Overview

First Impressions

Walking down the narrow cobblestone streets of Verona‘s historic center, you might almost miss the entrance to Vicolo Leoni 2BRD apartment — and that’s exactly what makes it so special. This four-star apartment sits tucked away on one of those impossibly charming medieval lanes that make Verona feel like a living museum. I mean, you’re literally staying in a building that’s probably older than most countries, but with all the modern comforts you actually need.

The Heart of Verona

Honestly, the location here is pretty incredible — they’re not kidding about that 9.8 location score. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from Juliet’s balcony (yes, that one), and the Piazza delle Erbe is so close you can practically hear the morning market vendors setting up. What I love about Vicolo Leoni is that it’s right in the thick of everything, but once you step inside, the tourist crowds just… disappear. It’s like having your own secret hideaway in the middle of one of Italy’s most romantic cities.

The Space Itself

The room setup works really well for couples — which explains why so many pairs end up loving this place. You’ve got two bedrooms, so there’s actually space to spread out your stuff (you know how hotel rooms can feel cramped after a few days). The kitchen is compact but functional — perfect for making morning coffee or storing those amazing cheeses you’ll inevitably buy at the local market. The whole place has this wonderful mix of old-world charm with updated fixtures that actually work properly.

Getting Around and Practicalities

One thing to know — parking in Verona’s historic center is, well, let’s just say it’s an adventure. But honestly, once you’re here, you won’t need a car anyway. Everything worth seeing is within walking distance, and there’s something magical about wandering these ancient streets on foot. The apartment’s entrance can be a bit tricky to find the first time (Italian street numbering is its own art form), but the hosts are pretty good about providing clear directions.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both authentic and comfortable. You’re sleeping in a building that’s witnessed centuries of history, but you’re not sacrificing modern conveniences for the experience. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings — locals heading to dinner, couples strolling hand in hand, that perfect Italian evening energy. And when you wake up in the morning, you can grab fresh pastries from the bakery around the corner and feel like you’re living like a local, even if it’s just for a few days. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall in love with Verona — and keep coming back.

  • Dominic from United States – 22 July 2023 (8/10)

Good location, ACs were cold enough, attached bathrooms for each of the two rooms were perfect for two couples sharing the apartment

What could be improved: Host wasn’t too accommodating- wouldn’t help us in getting a taxi to the train station, just give us a phone number ( which answers in Italian) to call for taxi; power was out while we were in the apartment one day and host finally showed up and was kind of blaming us for using too much electricity.

  • Matthew from Australia – 28 June 2023 (8/10)
