Villa Angelina Overview

You know what struck me most about Villa Angelina? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you – and somehow that makes it more charming. I mean, sure, it’s a solid 3-star spot with decent ratings (around 7.9 from what I’ve seen), but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole experience that I actually appreciated more than I expected.

The villa itself has this lived-in elegance that feels authentic rather than staged. The rooms aren’t huge – honestly, you’re not going to be doing cartwheels in there – but they’re thoughtfully arranged with these little touches that show someone actually cares. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms, while not luxurious, are spotless and have good water pressure. What I loved most were these small balconies in some rooms where you can actually sit with your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display for the whole neighborhood.

The staff here genuinely seems to enjoy their work, which makes such a difference when you’re trying to figure out local transportation or need restaurant recommendations. They’re not just rattling off the usual tourist traps either – I got some fantastic suggestions for places I never would have found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, no drama with early arrival, and they stored our luggage without any fuss when we had to leave before checkout time. The common areas have this relaxed vibe where you might end up chatting with other travelers over breakfast, but it’s not forced or awkwardly social if you’re not in the mood. Speaking of breakfast – it’s simple but fresh, with local touches that change seasonally. The coffee is actually good, which honestly can make or break a morning when you’re traveling. Parking was easier than expected too, though I’d recommend asking about it when you book since it can fill up during busier periods. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet, especially at night, so you’ll sleep well even if you’re sensitive to street noise like I am. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.

Reviews of Villa Angelina

  • Radek from Czech Republic – 16 March 2025 (2/10)

Location was accesible.Parking on spot .Lots of towels.

What could be improved: Place was far off from picture provided on booking.com.Got room in wet basement size 5x5m for 4beds with low hanging chandelier the size of a spaceship. Dampness attracted insects ,having centipedes on the wall. "Kitchen" was a similar matter with second hand kitchen supplies. Coffee maker without Coffee. Slept through and ran quickly away without even a shower.

  • Dimitri from United Kingdom – 7 January 2025 (8/10)

    Angelina was very helpful

  • Palmiotto from Italy – 1 January 2025 (9/10)

Gentilezza della proprietaria, molto disponibile . Letto comodo, camera e bagno puliti

    What could be improved: Nulla

  • Alessandro from Italy – 19 December 2024 (9/10)

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ottima posizione vicino la fermata del bus. Carinissima l'idea delle tisane in stanze per poterle fare quando si vuole nella cucina in comune. L'unica peccato non funzionava la tv

  • Chaimae from Belgium – 2 December 2024 (1/10)

The owner was very unfriendly, caused a whole fuse about being paid in cash after i already did the payment by card. Was very violante, physically as verbally. locked me out and telling me i ill not get my stuff back till i pay again in cash. Police has to be involved to solve the issue! Other family member of the owner was apologising for the disturbance and discomfort but this is unaccepteble!

What could be improved: The rudness and impolitness of the owner. Was acting in a very savage and violante way.

  • Radmilo from Serbia – 11 November 2024 (8/10)

    Everything was good.

  • Maria from Belarus – 8 November 2024 (9/10)

I liked everything – the location, the price, the design of the rooms and the furniture. Yes, this is the basement floor of a private house, so the windows are high and at ground level, it turns out -0.5 floor. But at the same time there is no feeling of inconvenience – the ceilings are high, the furniture and the windows to the garden create comfort. I liked the room for two more – it is lighter and larger. But a room for one when visiting Verona for a couple of days is also a great option. The shared kitchenette has a microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator. The hostess kindly provides coffee and sweets upon check-in. It is very nice. You can use the host's garden if the weather is good)

  • Sebastian from Australia – 3 November 2024 (9/10)

    Super clean budget guesthouse,
    Value for money in Verona,
Kitchen contains toaster, microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine,
    Nearby to great restaurants,
Very friendly owner despite language barriers,
Beds comfortable for great night sleep

What could be improved: Not a deal breaker for us but a thirty min walk to old town

  • Amanda from Ireland – 29 September 2024 (8/10)

    It was perfect!
The hostess is a super nice person, super gentle.
The place is well located with everything nearby.
It was absolutely clean, full equipped kitchen, nice people. We absolutely loved our stay. If one day we go back to Verona we’d defo stay at Angelina’s again.

    What could be improved: N/a

  • Filip from Belgium – 24 September 2024 (8/10)

The room was well equipped and clean. We could also use the kitchen and a fridge. A parking spot for the car was available. Great location, a walkable distance to the center.

What could be improved: Nothing, everything we needed was there.
