The free parking right on site — and if you’ve ever tried to park anywhere near Verona‘s city center, you’ll understand why that’s such a relief.

Here’s something most tourists don’t realize about staying in Borgo Venezia — you’re getting the best of both worlds. Sure, you’re not right in the thick of things near the Arena, but you’re in a proper residential neighborhood where actual Veronese people live their daily lives. I mean, there’s something refreshing about walking to the local bar for morning coffee alongside locals heading to work. The area feels authentic in a way that the tourist-heavy centro storico sometimes doesn’t, and couples seem to really get this — they consistently rate the location around 8.5 out of 10.

What You’re Actually Getting

Villa Angelina delivers exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star place, without trying to be something it’s not. My room was clean and comfortable — nothing fancy, but honestly, when you’re spending your days exploring Verona’s incredible architecture and evenings enjoying Amarone wine, you just need a good bed and a decent shower. The staff runs things efficiently, and there’s a no-nonsense approach that I actually appreciated after dealing with some overly fussy hotels elsewhere in Italy.

Getting Around Verona

The real genius of this location becomes clear when you start exploring. You’re close enough to walk into the historic center when you want to — it’s maybe a 15-20 minute stroll — but far enough out that you escape the crowds and inflated prices. There are local buses that run regularly if you don’t feel like walking, and having that guaranteed parking spot means you can easily drive to places like Lake Garda or the Valpolicella wine region for day trips. Actually, I ended up using the hotel as a base for exploring way beyond Verona itself, which worked out perfectly.

  Location was accesible.Parking on spot .Lots of towels.
  
  What could be improved: Place was far off from picture provided on booking.com.Got room in wet basement size 5x5m for 4beds with low hanging chandelier the size of a spaceship. Dampness attracted insects ,having centipedes on the wall. "Kitchen" was a similar matter with second hand kitchen supplies. Coffee maker without Coffee. Slept through and ran quickly away without even a shower.

  Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ottima posizione vicino la fermata del bus. Carinissima l'idea delle tisane in stanze per poterle fare quando si vuole nella cucina in comune. L'unica peccato non funzionava la tv

  The owner was very unfriendly, caused a whole fuse about being paid in cash after i already did the payment by card. Was very violante, physically as verbally. locked me out and telling me i ill not get my stuff back till i pay again in cash. Police has to be involved to solve the issue! Other family member of the owner was apologising for the disturbance and discomfort but this is unaccepteble!

  I liked everything – the location, the price, the design of the rooms and the furniture. Yes, this is the basement floor of a private house, so the windows are high and at ground level, it turns out -0.5 floor. But at the same time there is no feeling of inconvenience – the ceilings are high, the furniture and the windows to the garden create comfort. I liked the room for two more – it is lighter and larger. But a room for one when visiting Verona for a couple of days is also a great option. The shared kitchenette has a microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator. The hostess kindly provides coffee and sweets upon check-in. It is very nice. You can use the host's garden if the weather is good)

  It was perfect!
  The hostess is a super nice person, super gentle.
  The place is well located with everything nearby.
  It was absolutely clean, full equipped kitchen, nice people. We absolutely loved our stay. If one day we go back to Verona we’d defo stay at Angelina’s again.
