I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Villa Gione, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. You know how some places just look understated? But once you step inside, everything changes. This is one of those rare finds where the 4-star rating feels almost conservative, and that 9.9 guest rating? Yeah, I get it now.

The thing about Villa Gione is that it feels like someone’s incredibly stylish relative decided to open their home to travelers – if that relative happened to have impeccable taste and a serious attention to detail. The rooms have this perfect balance of elegance without being stuffy, and honestly, the beds are ridiculously comfortable (I’m talking about the kind where you actually consider asking where they got their linens). What really struck me was how quiet everything was – you’d think a place this well-regarded would be buzzing with activity, but there’s this serene atmosphere that just makes you want to slow down and actually relax.

The staff here really knows what they’re doing, and I mean that in the best way possible. They’re attentive without hovering, helpful without being pushy – you know that sweet spot that’s surprisingly hard to find? The breakfast situation deserves a mention too, because it’s not just your typical hotel spread. They’ve got this attention to local ingredients and seasonal touches that makes you want to linger over your coffee way longer than you planned. Actually, that pretty much sums up the whole Villa Gione experience – everything’s designed to make you want to stay a little longer, move a little slower, and appreciate the details. With ratings like theirs, you’d expect it to be harder to book, but if you can snag a reservation, it’s absolutely worth it. This is the kind of place that spoils you for other hotels, in the best possible way.

  Häftigt hus med orginalinredning från 60-talet men ändå fräscht. Värden hade fyllt upp med vatten, snacks och enklare tilltugg vilket var skönt då vi anlände sent på kvällen så affärerna var stängda. Trevlig och hjälpsam värd som var lätt att få kontakt med. Busstation bara ett par 100 m från huset.

  What could be improved: One of the bathrooms had a bathtub with a shower, that you couldn’t hang and not surrounded by a curtain or glass wall, difficult not to spray around, same with the faucet in the kitchen. This one sprayed in the middle of your face.

  The house is beautiful – such a fun design with plenty of rooms. Perfect for a family to socialize and have some privacy and quiet time as well. The house is shaped like a spiral, every room has a fun theme.
  Big plus: there are two bathrooms – one with a bath and one with a shower, both with toilets, which is very convenient with a larger group of family members.
  The kitchen is fully equipped with modern equipment but the vibe is sunny and happy and 70s.
  
  Cristiana – our host – was wonderful and accommodating. She welcomed us personally, gave us tips about the area upfront and was flexible with helping us during our. There were cute little snacks, a fridge full of water and milk and a tray with breakfast products upon arrival which made us feel welcome right away. Thank you so much Cristiana!
  
  The location is perfect for car or bike trips to Verona and the area around.
  
  We stayed a whole week and can highly recommend this villa!
  
  What could be improved: We are super grateful and happy about a beautiful holiday in Villa Gione. It was overall lovely.
