Vitti’s home Verona 2 – Cittadella Overview
You know what really surprised me about Vitti’s home Verona 2 – Cittadella? It’s one of those places where the name actually tells you everything you need to know – it genuinely feels like staying at someone’s well-appointed home rather than a typical hotel. I mean, the moment you walk in, there’s this immediately relaxed atmosphere that just makes sense for Verona.
The location near Cittadella is honestly perfect if you want to experience the city like locals do. You’re close enough to wander into the historic center whenever you feel like it, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tourists taking selfies outside your window at 7 AM. I actually appreciated being able to grab morning coffee at the neighborhood bar down the street – you know, the kind where the barista remembers your order after two days and locals argue good-naturedly about football over their espresso. The whole area has this authentic residential feel that you just can’t get when you’re staying right in the thick of the tourist zone.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to those little details that make or break a stay. The rooms have that comfortable, lived-in quality without being shabby – think clean lines and thoughtful touches rather than cookie-cutter hotel furniture. I honestly spent more time just relaxing in my room than I usually do because it felt so welcoming. The 8.1 rating makes total sense when you consider how everything just works smoothly here – no drama with check-in, decent Wi-Fi (which honestly isn’t a given in some of Verona’s older buildings), and the kind of cleanliness that feels natural rather than sterile. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of the city, which is a huge relief if you’re driving in.
The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but honestly, sometimes you don’t need all the bells and whistles – you just need a place that gets the fundamentals right and has some personality. The staff clearly know the area well and can point you toward those hole-in-the-wall restaurants that don’t show up in guidebooks but serve the kind of risotto that makes you understand why people move to northern Italy. I actually ended up staying an extra night because I wasn’t ready to leave that whole relaxed vibe behind – there’s something about the pace of life in that neighborhood that just gets under your skin in the best way possible.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Verona at least two months ahead for major events like opera performances and wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular romantic sites.

The location
What could be improved: Some things in term of construction of the apartmentMaria from Portugal – 18 February 2024 (7/10)
The equipments of the place are comfortable with a high quality. The bed is really comfy and they left some kind of snacks, candies, coffee and also water for us. The house is 3min walking from the main arena of the city, very well and easy located.
What could be improved: The personnel weren’t available and they did not care about us. Basically, the check out is at 9:30am and the check in is at 3pm. In the meantime, it is not possible to let our luggage in the place and because of this we had to pay 8€ more to let our luggage in some random storage. When we asked for help of the team of the house they just sent a link of the storage to us. They did not say a ‘’hi’’ or tried to help, it was a really cold relation and all the process was contactless (even to pay the tourist tax we had just to let the money inside a box in the room). The place is amazing, indeed, but the personnel didn’t let us wanting to come back, really inflexible and apathetic, which is very important to us since we came from two other hotels with excellent and human relations. In short: the price of the place is the booking price + the price of the storage to let the luggage before the check in.Wolfertz from United States – 1 January 2024 (9/10)
Loved the location and ease of check in and out.
What could be improved: The heating was hard to figure out, one of the rooms it didn’t seem to work. Perhaps directions on the mechanism on how it worksJess from Ireland – 25 October 2023 (9/10)
Amazing Location! Just around the corner from the area. Simple self-check in. The room was clean and spacious! The extra treats were a nice touch too.
What could be improved: THE WIFI WAS TERRIBLE, unusable really! The check-out time felt unnecessarily early at 9:30.Josip_p from Croatia – 14 September 2023 (9/10)
central location, self check in, coffee machine, water bottles in the fridge.
What could be improved: AC machine was inside the room, pretty loud and dirty filters. Needs some maintenance.Arantxa from Spain – 31 July 2023 (7/10)
Noisy, cars and noise from the street.
The air condition was supernoisy as well.
