Walking up to the third floor of this historic building on Via Ponte Cittadella, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from Vitti’s home Verona 2 – Cittadella. The entrance feels like you’re visiting someone’s actual apartment — which, in a way, you are. It’s not your typical three-star hotel setup, but that’s exactly what makes it work. The moment you step inside, you realize you’ve found something special in the heart of Verona’s historical center. Location & Neighborhood

You know what struck me most? I could walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes, and the Arena di Verona was maybe a five-minute stroll. The location really is exceptional — I mean, couples rate it 9.4 for good reason. You’re literally surrounded by medieval streets, authentic trattorias, and those Instagram-worthy piazzas everyone talks about. What I loved was stepping out in the morning and immediately being part of Verona’s daily rhythm, not stuck in some tourist bubble on the outskirts. The positioning within the historical center cannot be overstated for those seeking genuine cultural immersion.

The Space

The apartment itself feels like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place. It’s clean, comfortable, and has that lived-in charm you don’t get in chain hotels. The rooms are thoughtfully arranged, and honestly, after spending days walking Verona’s cobblestones, having a proper space to spread out made all the difference. There’s a kitchen area too, which came in handy when we grabbed fresh bread and prosciutto from the local market — sometimes you just want to eat breakfast without getting fully dressed, you know? The layout encourages relaxation and genuine comfort during your stay.

Practical Considerations

Being on the third floor means stairs — just so you’re prepared if you’re traveling with heavy luggage. But the trade-off is worth it because you get those lovely views over the historic rooftops. The neighborhood can get a bit lively in the evenings (it’s the city center, after all), but I actually found the sounds of people enjoying themselves rather charming. If you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs, though it wasn’t really an issue for us. Sound management is something to consider when booking a city-center property.

  The equipments of the place are comfortable with a high quality. The bed is really comfy and they left some kind of snacks, candies, coffee and also water for us. The house is 3min walking from the main arena of the city, very well and easy located.
  
  What could be improved: The personnel weren’t available and they did not care about us. Basically, the check out is at 9:30am and the check in is at 3pm. In the meantime, it is not possible to let our luggage in the place and because of this we had to pay 8€ more to let our luggage in some random storage. When we asked for help of the team of the house they just sent a link of the storage to us. They did not say a ‘’hi’’ or tried to help, it was a really cold relation and all the process was contactless (even to pay the tourist tax we had just to let the money inside a box in the room). The place is amazing, indeed, but the personnel didn’t let us wanting to come back, really inflexible and apathetic, which is very important to us since we came from two other hotels with excellent and human relations. In short: the price of the place is the booking price + the price of the storage to let the luggage before the check in.

  Amazing Location! Just around the corner from the area. Simple self-check in. The room was clean and spacious! The extra treats were a nice touch too.
  
  What could be improved: THE WIFI WAS TERRIBLE, unusable really! The check-out time felt unnecessarily early at 9:30.
