Welcome Verona Rooms & Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Welcome Verona Rooms & Apartments feels like discovering a well-kept secret right in the heart of Verona. The property sits on Piazza Renato Simoni, and I mean literally in the historical center — you can’t get more central than this. What struck me immediately was how this four-star place manages to feel both intimate and polished without being stuffy. The entrance has this understated elegance that whispers rather than shouts, which honestly feels perfect for Verona’s refined atmosphere.
Location Magic
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re basically living like a local in one of Italy’s most romantic cities. I could walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes, but more importantly, I was surrounded by authentic trattorias and wine bars that tourists staying near the arena never discover. The piazza itself is this charming little square where you’ll see actual Veronese going about their daily business — it’s not a tourist trap, it’s real life. Couples absolutely love it here (they rate the location 9.5, and I totally get why), but honestly, anyone who wants to experience authentic Verona will appreciate being this perfectly positioned.
The Accommodations
The room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed — not flashy, but everything worked beautifully. What I appreciated most was the attention to comfort details that matter after a long day of exploring. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms are modern without feeling cold. If you opt for one of their apartment options, you’ll get a proper kitchen setup, which is fantastic if you want to grab fresh ingredients from Verona’s morning markets and cook something simple.
The Neighborhood Experience
Here’s something you won’t read in most reviews — the morning sounds from this piazza are magical. You’ll wake up to the gentle hum of espresso machines and quiet conversations in Italian, not traffic noise or tour groups. There’s a lovely local café right around the corner where I grabbed my morning cappuccino, and the owner actually remembered my order by day three. The evening atmosphere is equally special — locals gather for aperitivo at the nearby wine bars, and you can join right in without feeling like an outsider.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.8 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not about fancy amenities or over-the-top service — it’s about getting the fundamentals absolutely right in an unbeatable location. The staff genuinely cares about your experience in Verona, not just your stay at the property. They’ll point you toward the best local spots and help you avoid tourist traps. What really sets this place apart is how it lets you live in Verona rather than just visit it. You’re not staying near the historical center — you’re staying in it, in a way that feels natural and unforced.

Extrem netter Gastgeber, sehr freundlich, sehr viele gute und hilfreiche Sightseeing-Tipps,
es war auch netterweise kein Problem, am Abreisetag ein wenig später als üblich auszuchecken

Great apartment in a very practical location, close to Verona Porta Nuova railway station and just a few steps way from the inner city. Clean, good wifi, tables to work and a cute balcony. Daniel the owner, welcomed me personally, we had a good chat and he has a lot of great recos for the city if you happen to be there the first time.

This is a fantastic air conditioned apartment in Verona. Close to the station and just a short stroll into the old city centre. It has been very thoughtfully fitted out with the guests comfort in mind. Newly renovated throughout, you get a well stocked kitchen and modern bathroom. Lots of coffee pods and an assortment of teas was welcome. We just bought milk. Lift access to the third floor was a big plus, as was the cute outdoor terrace. Daniel the host met us and gave us great recommendations for food and sights in Verona. He is a most responsive and charming person to deal with.
What could be improved: Bedside reading lamps would be our only suggestion. Otherwise perfect.Milena from Netherlands – 30 September 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: That I had to leave.
