What really got me was the attention to lighting – there are actually enough outlets near the bed, and the reading lights don’t cast weird shadows on your book. Small things, but they add up when you’re trying to unwind after a long day of exploring.

The breakfast situation deserves a mention too – it’s not some massive buffet spread, but what they do have is actually good quality, and the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since dawn. Plus, the dining area gets this lovely morning light that makes everything feel fresh and optimistic. I found myself lingering there longer than usual, just soaking up the atmosphere before heading out for the day. The whole experience feels authentic rather than manufactured, if that makes sense – like they’re running a hotel because they genuinely want to take care of people, not just process them through efficiently.

  Vincenzo was so responsive and kind. The apartment was immaculate and huge, away from the business of central Verona but close enough that the best restaurants were never further than 15 minutes by car.
