You & Me Garibaldi Home Verona Center Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name You & Me Garibaldi Home Verona Center, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds a bit like a vacation rental mixed with a boutique hotel, and you know what? That’s actually exactly what it is, and it works surprisingly well.

The location is what really sold me on this place. You’re right in the heart of Verona, and I mean properly in the center – not one of those “city center” hotels that’s actually a 20-minute walk from anything interesting. From here, you can literally stumble to Piazza delle Erbe in about five minutes, maybe less if you walk fast. The narrow streets around the hotel have that authentic Italian feel where locals are hanging laundry from their windows and you’ll hear actual conversations in Italian echoing off the old stone walls. It’s the kind of neighborhood where you’ll find a tiny osteria tucked between centuries-old buildings, and honestly, that’s half the charm of staying here.

What strikes me about this place is how they’ve managed to keep it feeling personal despite being a proper hotel operation. The rooms have this homey quality – think modern comfort but with character, not the sterile corporate hotel vibe you get at chains. I particularly appreciated that they seem to understand travelers actually need space to spread out their stuff, which is rarer than it should be in European city hotels. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you stay here because it’s those little details that add up – decent water pressure (trust me, this matters in older Italian buildings), windows that actually open so you can hear the city wake up in the morning, and beds that don’t feel like they were chosen purely for being cheap. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but the essentials are all handled well.

I mean, let’s talk about what really matters when you’re exploring Verona – you want somewhere that doesn’t eat up half your day just getting to the good stuff. From this hotel, you can walk to Juliet’s balcony (yeah, it’s touristy but you’ll probably end up going anyway), the Roman amphitheater, and all those incredible churches without breaking a sweat. Plus, and this is something I only figured out after staying here, you’re perfectly positioned for evening aperitivo culture. There are at least three great wine bars within a two-minute walk where locals actually go, not just tourist traps. The staff seemed to know this too – they gave me a couple of recommendations that turned out to be spot-on, which tells me they’re actually paying attention to their neighborhood rather than just checking people in and out.

Verona hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in this UNESCO World Heritage city, known for its romantic atmosphere, Roman architecture, and world-class opera performances.

Reviews of You & Me Garibaldi Home Verona Center

  • Alex from United States – 18 March 2025 (9/10)

Very nice modern apartment, spacious living room, responsive host, easy to find, only 5 min walk to center yet in a quiet area away from noise, free washing machine inside apt, heater worked great. I highly recommend.

What could be improved: Everything was great as expected.

  • Mark from United States – 13 March 2025 (9/10)

Very good location. We walked to all of the city tourist sites

What could be improved: For some reason closet with extra blankets and pillows was locked.
Shower size was very good but there is no hook for the hand shower and tile work needs to be redone – looks like mold is starting to grow.

  • Murray from Ireland – 14 October 2024 (9/10)

    Great location.

  • Ján from Slovakia – 22 September 2024 (9/10)

The apartment is near the center of the city (5 min) and 10 min. by foot to the car parking lot (20€/24h).

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Thorbjørn from Denmark – 9 September 2024 (8/10)

The location was perfect for a stay in Verona. We could walk around the town. It is just by the river and outside by the riverfront you have a great view.
Big rooms and a nice bathroom. We didn’t use the kitchen but it had all kinds of equipment.
The owner was very friendly and had a quick response when we needed it. Thank you.

What could be improved: The air conditioning was noisy so we had to turn it off during the nights which made the room very hot.
The parking is a 7 minute walk away but in a safe parking area.

  • Andel from Albania – 9 September 2024 (9/10)

The flat is so near the center, at the bridge Garibaldi. It was quiet, we slept until 10.40 undisturbed by noises (Sunday morning). Clean space and comfortable bed. Quick self checkin.
I hope this place will be available again the next time I visit Verona.

  • Pavol from Slovakia – 31 July 2024 (9/10)

Very nice appartement, well placed near the city center. Host spoke english well enough. Complimentary treats, ice cream and bottled water was a nice touch.

What could be improved: On arrival a little too cold. Small windows facing main street, needed to be always blinded so the appartement was a little too dark.

  • Lawrence from Italy – 24 July 2024 (8/10)

Comfortable bed, great pillows, a roomy shower, and good wifi!

But the best thing was LOCATION. It’s across the street from the river and a 15-20 min walk to the Arena. It’s in a modern building that adjoins historic streets.

  • Simon from Slovenia – 2 June 2024 (9/10)

The location is great. The parking lot is close. The apartment is fully equipped.

  • Irena from Italy – 24 May 2024 (9/10)

    Excellent position, comfortable, friendly owner
