15th Century Loft – Verona City Centre Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to 15th Century Loft – Verona City Centre on Largo San Nazaro, you immediately sense you’re about to experience something special. The building itself whispers stories from centuries past — I mean, the name gives it away, but seeing those weathered stone details up close really drives home the history. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Verona, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. You’re literally surrounded by the kind of medieval charm that makes Verona so magnetic, yet everything feels surprisingly accessible and modern inside.

The Neighborhood

What I love about this spot is how it puts you right in the thick of things without the tourist chaos you get closer to Juliet’s balcony. Largo San Nazaro is one of those addresses that locals nod approvingly at — you know you’ve landed somewhere authentic. The couples who stay here consistently rave about the location, and after wandering these cobblestone streets myself, I totally get why they rate it so highly for romantic getaways. You can actually walk to most of Verona’s highlights, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by genuine neighborhood life with proper cafes and family-run shops.

The Space

The loft concept works brilliantly here — they’ve managed to preserve those gorgeous period details while creating something that feels completely livable for modern travelers. My room had these incredible exposed beams overhead and windows that framed views of terracotta rooftops stretching toward the distance. The space feels generous and thoughtfully designed, with enough character to remind you where you are but not so much historical quirkiness that you’re bumping your head on low doorways. Everything functions exactly as it should, which isn’t always a given when you’re staying in a building this old.

Daily Life

Mornings here have this lovely rhythm — you wake up to church bells (the gentle kind, not the jarring tourist-trap variety) and can grab coffee from the little place around the corner that clearly knows its regulars. The property’s location score of 8.9 isn’t just numbers on a website; it translates to real convenience when you’re actually living your days here. I found myself coming back between sightseeing sessions just because the neighborhood felt so welcoming, and there’s something satisfying about having your own little corner of this ancient city to retreat to.

Why Guests Love It

This place strikes that perfect balance between historical immersion and practical comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. You’re staying in a piece of Verona’s story, but you’re not sacrificing modern amenities or a good night’s sleep for the privilege. The fact that couples consistently praise the location tells you everything — when you’re trying to create romantic memories, the last thing you want is to feel like you’re staying in the wrong part of town. Here, you wake up already in the right place, surrounded by the kind of authentic Italian atmosphere that makes Verona special in the first place.

Reviews of 15th Century Loft – Verona City Centre

  • Wiktor from Poland – 12 February 2025 (7/10)

Our stay at Enrico's apartment didn't start off great. The place looked beautiful and was clean, but we quickly noticed that the bedroom in the basement was a bit damp and chilly, and the heaters weren't working well. The next day, we also had bad luck when the water heater broke, so there was no hot water in the taps or the shower. Luckily, Enrico was super easy to communicate with, and he even came by late at night to help us out with the issues. He sorted everything out and got the apartment warmed up with the air conditioning. On our departure day, he also let us check out later and helped us carry our bags to the train station by his car, which was really nice of him. Overall, we recommend this place because issues can happen anywhere, and Enrico really did his best to help us out.

What could be improved: I didnt expect that the second bedroom will be in the basement, there is no sunlight there, and there is no view from the window. It was a bit cold, but the owner helped us to warm up the place. I Think all would be bearable if the price will be much lower.

  • Daniel from Switzerland – 31 August 2024 (9/10)

Very easy to enter with door code, host friendly and accommodating, very good location, air conditioning worked well

  • Mihail from Greece – 16 August 2024 (8/10)

    A cosy and elegant loft.

What could be improved: The main bedroom is on the basement. A dehumidifier should be on 24h.

  • Grazielle from Malta – 27 May 2024 (9/10)

Was a very specious, clean and modern apartment.
Was completely equipped with all your needs and owner helped us out with anything we needed. Great location everything walking distance totally great environment to stay close to all tourist attractions.

  • Alina from Canada – 17 May 2024 (8/10)

    Great interiors, 2 floors apartment,
    Beautiful kitchen.

What could be improved: There is no parking near it was not easy to unload the all baggage , as a street is busy , host share with us closest parking.
But if you have only few small baggage it’s not an issue.

  • Sandra from Croatia – 16 September 2023 (7/10)

Spatious, beutifully decorated apartment 10 minutes from the city center.

What could be improved: Big problem with the smell of the humidity in the room with two beds in the basement.

  • Sommacal from United Kingdom – 5 August 2023 (9/10)

We loved the historic features: the wooden beams and the bedroom are just amazing. The apartment is so quiet because of the big walls! The furniture and appliances are super modern, the kitchen is fully equipped. And the house is really big! Before booking I Was concerned with humidity downstairs, but it hasn t been a problem at all: the room is not that humid by itself, and there is a dehumidifier in case

  • Leslie from Norway – 5 August 2023 (9/10)

The apartment was so beautiful, historic, and wonderfully decorated. Great location. Lovely hosts.

What could be improved: The air conditioning could have been better.
