3 Amici al Castello Overview
First Impressions
Walking into 3 Amici al Castello, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical four-star hotel. The property sits right on Piazza Arsenale in the Borgo Trento district, and honestly, the location alone makes it special. I mean, when couples consistently rate the location 9.8 out of 10, you know there’s something remarkable about where this place sits. The building has this understated elegance that feels authentically Italian — not trying too hard to impress, but somehow managing to do exactly that.
Location & Neighborhood
What really struck me about staying here is how perfectly positioned you are in Verona. Borgo Trento is actually one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook, which works entirely in your favor. You’re close enough to the historic center that everything’s walkable, but far enough away that you escape the tourist crowds when you want to relax. The fact that this area consistently ranks as top-rated in Verona isn’t just marketing speak — you’ll feel it the moment you step outside and realize you’re surrounded by authentic Italian life rather than souvenir shops.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had that perfect balance of comfort and character that’s surprisingly hard to find. You know what I appreciated most? The attention to details that actually matter — good lighting for reading, proper outlets where you need them, and windows that open to let in fresh air. The furnishings feel thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from a hotel catalog, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days without feeling cramped. Every element contributes to an experience that feels personal and welcoming.
Practical Perks
Here’s something that’ll save you both hassle and money — they have private parking right on site. If you’ve ever tried to park in Italian city centers, you’ll understand why this is basically priceless. No circling blocks looking for a spot, no worrying about your car while you’re out exploring. It’s one of those amenities that seems simple until you need it, and then you realize how much stress it eliminates from your trip.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I completely understand why this place consistently earns such high ratings. It’s not about flashy amenities or over-the-top service — it’s about getting the fundamentals absolutely right. The location puts you in the heart of authentic Verona life, the staff genuinely cares about your experience, and everything from the room setup to the practical details like parking just works seamlessly. You’ll find yourself recommending this place to friends not because it’s the fanciest option in town, but because it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special that most tourists miss. This hotel truly delivers on its promise of comfort and authenticity.
Apartments in Verona provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Italian markets and experience daily life in historic Renaissance neighborhoods.

Reviews of 3 Amici al Castello
Halit from Turkey – 7 April 2025 (8/10)
Good location. The complimentary refreshments were rich (coffee, tea, beer, cola, biscuits, water…) . Room and bathroom is very large. Our host Dario is very helpful. He replied all questions about accomodation, city, parking etc.. Paid parking can be found on side streets. You should park blue lines and get ticket from the machine near the street. Otherwise you can ask Dario to reserve private parking which is a bit expensive: 24€ .
What could be improved: Breakfast can be better. For example, I prefer cheese in the breakfast, but I couldn't. Be careful because the shower cabin leaks a lot of water, it can cause flooding in the bathroom. But I'm sure Dario will fix it.Timucin from Germany – 6 April 2025 (10/10)
Everything was very good. The host Dario is very friendly and helps with everything. Thank you.
Rumen from United Kingdom – 24 March 2025 (10/10)
Excellent hotel! The room was spacious and comfortable with an incredible view of the Cestelvecchio and river. Dario the proprietor was extremely helpful in every way: serving breaskfast, recommending activities and restaurants and even helped us by ordering us a taxi on the last day. Would absolutely visit again, simply perfect!
Joanna from Poland – 14 October 2024 (9/10)

Colin from United Kingdom – 16 September 2024 (9/10)
Brilliant location, just across a charming pedestrian bridge from the city centre. Very helpful owner, Dario, who was lovely in every way.
What could be improved: A proper teapot would have been nice. But the breakfasts otherwise were great.Lorenzo from Canada – 5 September 2024 (10/10)
Everything within walking distance and not too busy .Dario was an amazing host. Making sure we had everything we needed, he gave us a history lesson on Verona, he even let us keep our car on premise after checkout , until we left . He even let us use facilities to freshen up before our journey out. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Dario for the great experience.
Ilia from Switzerland – 31 August 2024 (10/10)
All was really good. Large and comfortable room with a/c, excellent location…just across the historic bridge from the busy historic city center, but very quiet…facing the river and a green park…
A bit unconventional being located on single floor of a residential building, but very comfortable. Dario makes up for unconventionality. Very supportive and helpful, makes one feel at home…and at a very nice home.

The view from the apartment is fantastic, in front of one of the most beautiful spots in the city. You can walk to all the main attractions, or even get a scooter, as there is a rental point in front of the apartment. There is a garage for your car, for a fee, pretty convenient, and the host's service is very kind and professional, and you should try the bread that Dario produces himself, tasty and fresh!
What could be improved: I didn't miss anything.
